I feel really uncomfortable around her the way she acts like she owns that place and watches u. even goes over to the table even when the guy is there telling me only 5 ..lady i know i was just told that . .like im not gonna steal .thats how she made me feel 😢 .. like idk 😶 she needs to do better .. not a very nice welcoming person ..were humans too who just need help no body is better than anyone ..... They had a different person months ago who was super sweet . Idk where she went
It's a good pantry. Good people. But it depends on the times you go. Winter is great usually. Summer not so much. They also give cat and dog food (Thursday is their pet food distributor day) lately it's been really good for the pet food, I've seen them give out pretty big bags like 15lb-25lb of cat and dog food. They do have wet pet food as well, most times I think. And the food pantry is good. I like how they have the extras where, after you get your food, there's a little table that has random stuff like tea bags, organic gummy candy, trail mix, to face masks, vitamins, etc.. it's really random and different stuff every month. One time they had these gallon containers of food dyes lol (the was right after easter) I was able to get a gallon of mayonaise. Anyway, as far as the food pantry is concerned, they have good days and bad days. There are days where you get a lot and some days where it's a very small amount of stuff. Typically Thanksgiving and christmas up to Valentines day or so, it's pretty good because people donate a lot more. But the summer can be iffy. The pantry was really low on stuff this last time. And I went in early July 2026. So yeah, if you are a donor or sponsor Please donate if you can. I hope that someday I will be able donate too and never again have to come here as a recipient. Or beneficiary or whatever you call it. :P I do remember a time where I got 3 or 4 packs of organic beef, shaved steak, ground beef and chicken and apple chicken sausages and stuff like that, potatoes, etc.. and my cart was full. So that helped my family a lot. It's not very common here ime to get fresh (frozen) meats but it does happen. And when it does, it's a happy day. :) and sometimes you get yummy drinks. And the usual stuff like staples, rice beans and noodles. Canned veggies, etc.. Every once in a blue moon you might get fresh veggies like lettuce and broccoli or tomatoes. Idk but in my experience it's kinda rare. I'm not sure if we all get the same stuff. It seems like we do? For the most part. But most everything is staples and canned goods. But it depends on the season. Supposedly, Feeding northeast florida sponsors them but I think they mostly do it during the holidays and not the spring and summer, because the holidays they are fully stocked and the best days to go. Oh and P.S you guys might want to fix your website so people can make their appointment without having issues. Many times it won't even let me click into the page without multiple attempts. And sometimes navigating to even find the appointment option gets hard to do. It's weird, I never had issues until this year. And Thanks.
My first time attending both staff and volunteers were very kind in assisting me. I showed up early and was in and out in 5 minutes. Very well ran. God bless
My husband and I went here today ,we have 5 children .We let the people know we have 7 total in our home , this place was horrible. They gave us better food for our dogs than ourselves and children. We got a bag of Green oranges, a bag with 4 can goods a bag of rice and oatmeal and then a bag with 2 cans of tuna some peanut butter and one can of veggie soup. I’m thankful that my dogs will be feed but what about my kids? They have a HUGE room FULL of food an we walked away with three very SMALL bags of the most random food. They could do better for people with kids especially. Thankful for them being there but very disappointed in how they showed up.if I could take a picture and add it I would . There was ONE lady in front of that walked away with EXACTLY the same amount of food they gave us for 7 people. I am going to list exactly what I received. One 16oz PB,5 can goods,1 veggie soup, two 5 ounce tunas , 1 can of chicken chunks, 8 green oranges, a bag of rice and a bag of oatmeal 1pound each an a sleeve of spaghetti noodles. How in the world would that even feed five kids?
I called for help and they were extremely rude and belittling. Cut me off to tell me I out myself in a situation. Without allowing me to finish explaining EVERYTHING for full understanding. I have been disappointed by this place MORE THAN ONCE. PPL have your case file then quit and while you're wondering what's going on. Thos was the worse encounter I've had here. Its sad that ppl come for help and are made to feel small and beneath them W/O the full story
