I only gave it 4-stars because of the grass field that sits on a beautiful hill with a great view of the entire park—it’s covered in the things that stuck in your feet so be aware. Other than that, it’s a cute little park (no playground, more for events). The scenery is beautiful, great for versatile photos. There’s sometimes events and vendors here that are very welcoming to the public. There’s a stage for concerts and related events. Plenty of marble seating and park benches on the other side.

Stunning park in Downtown Jax! Beautifully and thoughtfully designed, honoring past and present with both contemporary design and a salvaged historic “shotgun”-style home. Park educates and recognizes both the local and national significance of the Johnson brothers and world-famous “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” song, known as the African American National Anthem. Small amphitheater and seating space, multiple historic installations, and beautiful sculpture make this park a must-visit!!!
Small park with great layout for events. Slop styled seating aimed at staging area. Walking area around with vendors and areas to socialize. Newly opened and nicely done. Had live music and areas to dance and seating for portable chairs & grassy area seating.
There is much more that needs to be done for Jacksonville to be a metropolitan city in stead of all the millions spent on this trail. It is supposed to run through the so-called Railroad District, but that district needs a lot of work for the people who live there-- its' mostly overlooked in many ways. I Iive in this district and I would hope that the mayor would visit our district and take into account all the crime and abandoned, dilapidated homes. Homeless people on the streets and will take up residence in any shelter they choose.
Love this park for the events held and for the historical story behind it. Great addition to COJ Parks👍🏾 #ThePopOut #Yoga4Everyone
