Lawn Geekz Jax

Lawn Geekzs did an excellent job on my yard and made everything look clean, sharp, and well maintained. They worked with focus, handled all the details like trimming and edging, and made sure the whole space looked finished and neat. You can tell they care about the quality of their work. If you need a reliable team to take care of your lawn, Lawn Geekzs is definitely a good company to hire.

This review is based on my personal experience working with Maurice “Mike” Walters, who is associated with this business. Mike, the owner of Lawn Greek Jax, presented himself on Thumbtack as an experienced handyman operating under another business name, North FL Handyman Service. Mike accepted payments for my bathroom remodeling project but left the work substantially unfinished and, in my experience, improperly completed. He also requested and accepted an additional payment for a specific part of the project, never performed that work, and later stopped responding without returning the money. Despite repeated written requests, he did not return unused materials that I paid for, additional funds I requested back, or my garage-door remote. Based on my experience, I would not trust or hire Mike for any project, either personally or through any business he owns, operates, or represents, including Lawn Greek Jax. In my opinion, what occurred raises serious concerns about his reliability, commitment, communication, and respect for customer safety and property. My experience also demonstrates the significant financial and practical risks associated with hiring him or engaging Lawn Greek Jax or North FL handyman service. I hope my experience helps.

I cannot recommend Lawn Geeks highly enough. I sent them to one of my rental properties after the yard had gotten completely out of control—so overgrown you could barely even see the house. I was genuinely concerned the city was going to fine me if it wasn’t addressed quickly. Mike and his crew came highly recommended by a friend, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. They trimmed everything back, handled heavy weed growth, cut back overgrown areas, cleaned up the entire property, picked up trash, and hauled away all of the yard debris created during the cleanup. When they finished, I honestly almost didn’t recognize the place. The transformation was that dramatic. What really stood out was the value. They did an incredible amount of work for a very fair price. I was so impressed with the results that I immediately signed up for their monthly maintenance service. If this is what they can do with a severely overgrown property, I can only imagine how good it will look with regular upkeep. This yard went from a neglected jungle to something that now has real “yard of the month” potential. Five stars for Lawn Geeks. Professional, efficient, fairly priced, and outstanding results. If you’re anywhere in Duval County and need lawn care, you should absolutely call them for an estimate.

3 cuts in and im happy to have a reliable, honest, hard working crew here. My lawn, well...my weeds, need help. Im hoping this is the summer I get control of it all and begin to turn the yard back into a pretty lawn. Im thankful to have these guys here doing what I can't.
