I have been getting my lashes done with beautiful results for 10 years. I visited this salon for convenience since I was vacationing in the Jax. Beach area. I was so eager for a 3 week fill~that I did not research the low ratings that I later discovered. The tech, without warning, painfully plucked away my beautiful fan extentions along with my fragile & limited natural lashes. She even took photos of my "dirty extensions" but along w/ plucking away my "fans"~she plucked away my few natural lashes. The tech said my fake & real lashes were in horrible condition. She even said that I would be so disappointed in the results. The results were horrific. My extensions were gone & she filled my left eye with uncurly, straight fibers. I called the manager twice & left voicemails. Brianna did call today. She promised me I would hear from the owner today. Not one word. The manager made it VERY clear that they give no refunds. BOTTOM LINE: I never would have approved the stripping of my extensions, or the pathetic results of destroying the past artistry. Plus the fee was robbery. Please to the owner: Do NOT BOTHER to leave a rebuttle. You had a chance to call me today. Your salon is MUTUALLY not a fit for either one of us.
I normally do a lot of research before booking lash appointments, but this was a last-minute situation and I was honestly just grateful to get in. I called and asked for a volume set, explained the lengths and style I wanted, and booked the appointment. Unfortunately, there was little to no consultation beforehand. No one really went over pricing, expectations, or even explained the service in detail. While getting my lashes done, I was asked if I wanted them “really full,” which confused me because I had already stated I wanted volume. The lashes themselves weren’t ugly — the placement and application were decent, and the customer service during the appointment was fine — but I definitely don’t feel like I received the true volume set I asked for. The bigger issue came at checkout. No one verbally explained my total or reviewed charges with me. The total shown on the screen was $250, and I personally added a $30 tip myself, making my total payment $280. At that point, I thought everything was complete and paid for. The next morning, both of my inner corners had already fallen out. I tried calling the studio at 9 a.m. to see if someone could fit me in for a correction, but no one answered. Then after checking my bank statement later, I noticed there was an entirely separate additional $30 charge made to my card after I had already left the studio. When I called to ask about it, I was told it was a mandatory gratuity fee. My issue is not the gratuity itself — if that is your policy, that’s completely fine. I’m all for transparency and businesses enforcing their policies. But if you noticed I didn’t leave the required gratuity amount according to your policy, someone should have contacted me directly and explained it before charging my card again. A simple “Hey Ms. Kirkland, I noticed the gratuity requirement wasn’t met based on our policy” would have gone a long way. Instead, my card was charged afterward without my knowledge, no explanation was given at checkout, and I only found out because I checked my bank statement myself. That’s the part that made the situation upsetting and unprofessional to me. So in total, I ended up paying $310 for lashes that didn’t even last 24 hours in the inner corners. Transparency and communication are extremely important, especially when clients are spending this kind of money. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won’t be returning.
Been coming here since they opened and have always been happy with the services, specials and the cute boutique! Even though I don’t live in Jax anymore I make the effort to come here when I’m in town. Dineen did a lash lift and tint for me today and I’ll definitely book with her again. She was very detailed, had a calming presence and made good decisions on color and curl type based on my situation.
Briana is incredible!! She takes such pride in making her clients look as beautiful as possible, and personalizes every experience! Brianna has done my lash extensions, brow waxing, and even my nano permanent brows!! I was so scared to do these, and she made me feel so comfortable, and I’ve never received so many compliments about my eyebrows and my lashes! Love you, girl! Thanks for everything!💞
