Ive been to Laredo's a couple times already to comfortably give my opinion about the place. Ive so far have received such nice and respectful waiters & waitresses, and was checked on, on the regular. The atmosphere of the place has it flaws, the place seems dim with the color of the walls and the condition the roof is. They do however have such lovely seating and a bar which stands out more than the restaurant. The Food is pretty good in my experience and Im usally full after my first meal and their Sweet tea pretty good from my experience. If you do plan to eat here plan your time to be here as the location of the restaurant has small parking and can get easily crowded in the late afternoons.
To say I am upset with this establishment is an understatement. I NEVER leave reviews but people should be warned. I spent $45 on nothing more than mush. Not a single taco in four boxes was able to be picked up and eaten as a taco. All of the food had to be eaten with a fork. The SHELLS themselves were mushy, crumbling and stuck to the bottom of the boxes!!! Felt just like wet bread. When I’d try to move one, it would tear multiple times. I could understand one or two but ALL of our tacos were complete mush like someone had dumped water all over them. If Taco Bell can survive a car ride home than at a minimum, yalls food should be able to do the same. Please figure out what is being done incorrectly. Orders to go should be upheld to the same standards as eating in. Yall wouldn’t serve mush to guests dining in!!!
When I am on a work trip, I dont branch off too much. Mexican food is what I lean towards. Mainly for the vibes, close 2nd is the food. This time around I did not have time to eat. The chips were warm & crispy, not cold & stale. The salsa had some freshness to it, not from a premade 5 gallon bucket. The bartender was fun to talk with and the margarita was pretty good. I sat at the bar & saw the margarita came from a large premade batch but the bartender did add a nice amount of tequila. When I 1st came in there werent too many people inside, by the time I left (about an hour or so later) the lunch rush was in full effect. I would like to come back & try the food, im sure I will sooner than later.
Found this hole in the wall on an overnight stop in the area. It was later in the evening when we went but the place was still packed!! We had the sweetest server & she got all our menu and drink questions answered. Draft beer selection is limited but they have good choices. Mugs not cold but the liquid felt like it was straight from the freezer so it worked out! Chip texture was excellent and salsa was fresh and flavorable. We enjoyed a few burrito & taco options, all of which were excellent. Food tasted fresh & authentic. They had lots of great options on the menu. We will definitely mark this as a place to return to if ever in the area again!
Always the best food and service! Have tried so many great meals here! My fav is the chicken laredo or just the regular beef american style tacos but tonight i got the pollo con crema and it was amazing! Every server we’ve gotten has been attentive, sweet, and quick! Food always comes out fresh and quickly! 😍
