Lake Shore Baptist Church

Didn't go to the service but they partnered with st Vincent 's for a mobile dental clinic. Highly recommend it. I had to take my brother there this last Wednesday to have 2 of his teeth pulled. He went there a week or two before to have other teeth pulled.

Hello, my name is Steve F. My father was the pastor at Lake shore from the fall of 1984 untill January of 1991 I believe. I was 17 when we came here and a culture shock for me. We came from the sticks of western NC, to a city. I gave my parents a true hard time, which I truly do regret. But the people here are by far some of the nicest most welcomeing folks I do believe I have met. But at the time I was really having a difficult time adjusting, and I don't really believe I ever did. But now at 52 years old I can honestly say I would actually love to live there again. The folks at the church at that time were genuinely caring folks. Maybe one day my wife and I and my grandchildren can visit. I would really like to do that.

My sister's group for disabled adults is temporarily renting space from this church. I had to drop her off today for my mother. One of their members, who maintains their facilities, answered their door and rudely said 8:30 and closed the door in my face. She didn't even acknowledge us after I kindly greeted her and attempted to explain I was unfamiliar with their hours or rules. I met a JTA driver outside who told me the same person was rude to her when she tried to park. I could have been an unbelievaber and Allie, I am told is her name, could have been my 1st & only experience with a Christian/Christ. This is NOT the experience Christ intended. Sadly, I also think race was a factor in both experiences. There was nothing loving, kind, or welcoming about this church. Do not attend.

I get dental treatments here. And I am extremely happy for the work they can do. I need some advance dental work but cannot afford it. So I am truly grateful for what they offer
