Very chill hiking loop around the lake! When I walked on the trail didn’t run into anyone! I’m a big birder and got to see plenty of smaller songbirds and multiple anhinga (see attached photo). The lake during sunset is also very nice.
Nice trails that loop around the lake.
Beautiful trail, visually the best the last few hours of the day & in the early morning. About 40 min walk and bench to sit on and look out at the water. Be aware of your surroundings as there are gators in the water (obviously) & it is wooded seclusion in Jacksonville, after all. For one loop, it has a lot of different terrains, May be a bumpy bike adventure, but be wary with any wheels as there are many roots along the path. Thank you to the community that created & upkeep this trail!
Warning narrow Bumpy and uneven for Adventuring Mommas and reactive doggo guardians. Great tree coverage with lots of wildlife.
Beautiful. If you need a quick place to clear your mind, this place is perfect. Thank you whoever took the time to make all this.
