This was amazing! We came here to celebrate my birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. Every meal was absolutely delicious. I give thanks to the chef not just for making wonderful food, but for sharing it with people. However, the best part was our waitress, Kateryna, who made us feel special. She was kind, helpful, and friendly. I would also like to thank Lianna for being so helpful and recommending such amazing meals. If you’re looking for a calm, cozy place to share meals or celebrate a birthday with friends and family, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Truthfully I'm a little torn about La Concina. To label yourself as a fine dining restaurant, people will naturally have high expectations. I went on a Wednesday, so I definitely didn't get to experience them on a busier day where you could see the true flow of service and guest experience. However, the staff seemed very reserved and almost awkward - again, not sure if it was just because it was a Wednesday evening. It was a bit disappointing to create a reservation through OT and note my gluten allergy and my birthday, and for neither to be acknowledged when arrived or when I sat down. I did inform them of my allergy and then shortly after they brought me bread - which was taken back. Additionally, which may not seem like a big deal, though I'm from Charleston SC which is known for its food and service - no one refilled my water. I opted for bottled water and had to fill my own cup, yet I was checked on a few times and asked if everything was okay. Little things like that make a huge difference. They did at the end bring a plate of dessert for me, complimentary, saying happy birthday which was a nice touch. I got the poached pear salad and their duck risotto. Both great dishes, and I'd recommend the duck to anyone coming here. All in all, if I lived here, I wouldn't come back but I'd urge anyone to come on a weekend for better service.
What a wonderful experience! The entire team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. The patio is beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the views over the city are simply stunning. If you’re looking for a more elevated experience, the indoor fine dining area is equally impressive. Even if you’re just passing through St. Augustine, I highly recommend making a stop here. This is the kind of culinary experience that genuinely lifts your mood and creates lasting memories. A special thank you to Sarena for her attentive service, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. She made us feel truly welcome and helped make our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
I had high hopes for this restaurant. Booked it for a Sunday. There were four other tables in the whole place being served, slow night... but yet, I felt ignored and forgotten... I ordered Encocado De Mar, a seafood dish of shrimp , snapper and clams. The reality was that the dish was pretty bland and flavorless. The presentation, with the plantains being served on a bed of black sea pebbles, was stunning, but the dish missed it's mark. My companion's dish of the half rack of lamb was rather tasty. It was not exactly what we were expecting , but still the taste was good. Another big disappointment came when they forgot to serve my wine, and the absents of several of the desserts on the menu. This will not be a restaurant that I will choose in the future
The dining experience was outstanding. Our servers Connie and Leigha ( I apologize for misspelling the name) made us feel like family and explained the menu and options for drinks. This was our first visit and we didn't know what to order. Well, my wife and I ended up ordering a chucutari board (a nice recommendation from the servers). I ordered the crab cake and mashed potatoes and my wife indulged in a burnt end and shrimp po boy sandwich with fries. We will definitely return.
