The doctor and this group were awesome with my son. It was an easy process that didn’t take long at all. The only suggestion I have is that for special needs kids that they try to accommodate them when it comes to the task of putting in eye drops. It can be difficult holding a child that’s large in size. And because of previous experiences with other providers (not here) it’s hard to trust anyone to handle your child with care that tries to restrain them. Other wise it was a please visit.

My 12 month old son had frontals sling procedure for congenital ptosis. Getting an initial appointment took some time but was really fast compared to other ophthalmology doctors and especially surgeons that performed this surgery. Was recommended minimally invasive surgery which helped my heart and they communicated well throughout the whole process. Surgery was really quick to schedule once you’ve had a consultation and the order is put in. Thank Dr.Kelly Unkrich! Stitches are healing great! They answered my many and repeated questions. All doctors in my experience have an urgency to them that is unsettling but they’re not a therapist or confidant, so understandable. Very personable for a surgeon .

Nemours hospital provides excellent service. My son has been under the care of Dr. Unkrish since last year due to a rare eye condition. We are extremely pleased and grateful to have her as our doctor. She takes the time to listen to our concerns and provides detailed feedback. She is also very gentle and dedicated in her interactions with my child. All the staff, from the main lobby to the front desk on the third floor, are welcoming and professional, making us feel well taken care of.
