JT Townsend Foundation

We were so incredibly blessed with the donation of a walker for our daughter who has hereditary spastic paraplegia. She was so excited to be able to stand and move around our house by herself! The smile on her face makes this mom's heart happy. Thank you so much to the JT Townsend foundation for your generosity.

My daughter and I were referred to the JTTOWNSEND FOUNDATION by her wheelchair clinic while at her day program. She uses a manual wheelchair to navigate throughout the day program facility more effectively and efficiently. Because she navigates the facility best in the manual chair versus a power chair, I have had to purchase the manual chair out of pocket at a rate of one every year and a half to two years. When her wheelchair clinic PT saw the lack of support this chair provided, she immediately said that it does not work and in fact cause more issues for her. What to do???!!! Our family couldn't purchase the type of chair needed. The physical therapist recommended that I contact the JTTOWNSEND FOUNDATION. What a God send! They were nothing short of amazing! From the first step of the process even to this day, they have been a blessing. They provided the way for Brittni to get a custom fitted manual chair that supports and fits her properly. Brittni now zooms through the day program sitting so much better and with fewer concerns about body positioning. She also navigates the her home better, sitting tall and proud! This would not have been possible without the help and support of the foundation. Brittni also loved learning about JT and says her goal is to help, comfort, and support more people like her just as JT did. 'He's a hero' she said. I believe she will do just that because she has a way of brightening your day when she talks to you. Many thanks to to foundation for the gift but also for giving Brittni a new perspective on the many possibilities she has. In her words, 'I want to help as many people as I can just like JT did.' Thank you again for the inspiration you guys bring to all of us but especially to my daughter. I remind her of what she learned about JT when she feels a little low and to see her eyes light up and her perspective change just by the mention of his name is priceless beyond measure!!! We love you guys!!!

We were so blessed to be the recipients of an adaptive stroller from the JT Townsend foundation. This gift will give us the ability to keep our son comfortable and in the proper position while moving around. He absolutely loves it. At the event we met so many wonderful people and other families who were gifted with equipment to help their children. EVERY SINGLE PERSON involved that we met was amazing. We were showered with so much love and excitement during the entire event. I really can’t put into words how wonderful of an experience it was. We are so thankful to everyone involved with the JT Townsend foundation.

Carmen and this foundation are heaven sent ! My daughter has cerebral palsy and we were in need of a medical stroller. Wolfson's sent our request over and then we received a phone from Mrs. Townsend advising they would get the stroller for us! The process was seamless but speaking with Carmen was the highlight of this process. I would recommend anyone that may have a need to just try them. The stroller we were blessed with may seem small to some but was huge for me and my family!
