Melody was a joy to work with! She has an amazing eye for design and played a key role in selecting the finishes, fixtures and design throughout our entire renovation project, which covered all interior and exterior aspects of the home, including a reconfigured layout and gut remodels of two full bathrooms and a kitchen. She also has extensive vendor resources which she shared generously. There were a ton of decisions to be made and working with Melody saved us so much time and headache! Melody understood our vision for the home and type of mid-term rental guest we were hoping to attract and she was excited to be a part of our journey. She made a stressful project a lot more fun than it might otherwise have been. Her communication and dependability is amazing! She is by far one of most reliable people we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It's a breath of fresh air! Once the renovation was complete, Melody handled the entire furnishing process from top to bottom, including selection, implementation and staging. She did fabulous work while still keeping us in budget. We are beyond thrilled with the final result! Melody has an incredible knack for coming up with amazing ideas on the fly; she works quickly and adapted cheerfully when things came up and we had to pivot. We were amazed at how well she was able to pull together a variety of colors and textures and create a cohesive vibe throughout the entire home. We worked with Melody closely over a period of several months and can honestly say she never let us down! We are so happy with the results and the feedback from our first and current guest is proof that we made the right call bringing in a professional designer… It really does make a difference! We highly recommend Melody and her company Joseph Ellen Designs!
Working with Melody to furnish and decorate my short-term rental house in Jacksonville, Florida was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Melody not only delivered everything outlined in her contract, but truly overdelivered in every aspect of the project. She came in under budget, while still creating a space that looks absolutely beautiful. Her design advice was invaluable — she has a great eye for making a home feel bright, clean and spacious, which is exactly what you want for a short-term rental. The final result feels welcoming, stylish, and beautiful! What I appreciated most was how hands-off the process was for me. As an out-of-state investor, full-time W-2 employee, busy mom, and business owner myself, I needed someone I could trust to manage the details. Melody coordinated key parts of the project, including painting and carpet cleaning, which kept everything moving smoothly while requiring very little involvement from me. She also created a very organized expense-tracking spreadsheet that I had access to throughout the project. This made it easy to stay informed and keep a clear pulse on spending at all times — something I greatly appreciated. Melody clearly put extra effort, creativity and resourcefulness into the project, and it shows in every detail. The home turned out beautiful, bright, and thoughtfully designed, and I’m excited for my family and future guests to enjoy it!
Where do I even begin to express my absolute awe and admiration for the exceptional work of my interior designer Melody McCoy and her team in Jacksonville, Florida. From the very first consultation to the final reveal, every step of the process was an absolute delight, and the transformation she and her team brought to my AirBnb home is nothing short of magical! The attention to detail displayed throughout the entire project was second to none. The color palettes they chose were bold yet soothing, vibrant yet elegant (see attached photos of before and after). Melody elevated the white wall to an entirely new level of modern. The project was completed within the budget, which is a testament that she cares for our expenses. Not only did she have an incredible eye for design but she was also an absolutely joy to work with. Her warm, cheerful personality, exceptional communication skills and unmatched professionalism made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Melody was always open to ideas and suggestions and incorporting them seamlessly into the overall design of my AirBnb home. Melody is a true visionary and artist in her field. I’ve recommended Melody of Joseph Ellen Designs to many of my customers and will continue to wholeheartedly recommend her to many more clients. If you are looking for an exceptional interior designer for your personal home and/or setting up for an AirBnb home, then look no further, Joseph Ellen Design is the top choice. I have a handful of short term rentals and used 2 other design companies before I found Melody at Joseph Ellen Design and I wish I found her first. Melody and her team can see my remodel and expand that vision into a comfortable environment you see only in fashion magazines. The color combinations, the modern style mixed with the casual relaxed feel captures the essence of the home which makes you also feel more at home. Fancy, yet affordable. Stylish yet comfortable. Neat and clean, yet very colorful. I am an ongoing client and you should be also.
Melody has a natural gift for interior design, effortlessly bringing together colors, textures, and styles to create spaces that feel both stunning and inviting. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on two projects, and her passion for design truly shines through in every detail. She has an incredible ability to work with what you already have, elevating it into something remarkable, all while collaborating seamlessly with contractors to ensure the best results. My guests, friends, and family are always impressed by her work, and I couldn’t be happier. Melody is not only talented but also professional, flexible, and a joy to work with—her enthusiasm and creativity make the entire process enjoyable from start to finish.
