I had an extremely unprofessional experience with the branch manager, Chad Walton, at the Johnstone Supply location in Jacksonville. I called to inquire about becoming a vendor and briefly explained my goals within the air‑conditioning industry. His immediate response was, “We don’t deal with that—go somewhere else.” I called back to clarify my mission in case there was a misunderstanding, but he repeated that he could not help me and ended the call. Rather than providing a professional explanation of their vendor requirements or directing me to the appropriate contact, the conversation felt dismissive and unnecessarily hostile. The few questions he did ask came across as interrogatory and condescending, which was surprising and disappointing for a company of this size. If this interaction reflects the level of professionalism and customer service at this branch, it raises serious concerns. My experience with Chad Walton was rude, unprofessional, and far below the standard I expected from Johnstone Supply.
chad is my go to at this location! so helpful, knows his stuff, and always down to throw in good banter to make us feel like family which i super appreciate as a vendor. hannah cook christian brothers heating and air
Counter services Absolutely terrible I've never felt more unwelcome They didn't even know what a reversing valve coil was... i had to google it for them
I have been coming here and dealing with Chad for over 10 years and wouldn’t rather shop anywhere else for my quick HVAC needs. Thank you, Chad for always getting the ball rolling with quotes pricing availability and the will call in the back is super quick! Rome and the team get it going in the back, Jose, Ann and the team get it going in the front, thanks guys!
Chad on Park St was less then helpful. After telling me he been there 24 years and they never sell filters individually. When I'VE always buy them without buying the hold box for years. I had to drive across town to buy individually. One guy don't break the review still a great company. Maybe just needs to check his facts.
