Johansen Park has an expansive green area ideal for dog walking, picnicking, or relaxing. It is in a neighborhood and parking is limited. There are no public bathrooms or a playground. A small stream with two small walking bridges runs through the middle of the park.
Cute little park. We parked here to walk around the neighborhood and sit in the park—my friends like to hammock there and come often. I’ll definitely be back here for a nice chill park day or another walk around the park.
Beautiful small park with aged trees of the local area. Great for a nice chill hang with social distancing. There is a homemade swing, and hanging swing, a palm tree that the kids can climb.
Great shade for running and playing or a nice picnic. Just please be respectful as residents surround the park ☺️
Jacksonville parks are wonderful. Johansen Park is full of tall palm trees. This gives such an impactful environment that feels preppy, tropical and Southern. Have enjoyed working on mini-sessions and family session here. Thank you for the upkeep and beautiful landscape to work with locals in these public parks.
