Overall one of the most fantastic atmospheres to dine in, I loved the wait staff, Damon was really nice and courteous. My one and only complaint about the entire meal was the Craked Corn, it is a great idea but I wish it wasn’t deep fried or if it is fried then make sure the inside is also cooked. Tasted a little greasy and raw on the inside, great sauce and rest of the dish was great. I got a poke bowl too and man was that rice perfectly cooked and a generous amount of Tuna on top. The show stopper of the night was the Sweet Potato Fries and their assortment of dipping sauces. Absolutely Fantastic, will be back again.
It’s not a good sign when McDonald’s is putting up a stronger fight, but here we are. We were rolling through Saint Augustine, feeling classy, looking for a lunch spot with a view. Jimmy Hula’s popped up with solid reviews, so we figured, “Why not live a little?” Now listen, the view? Absolutely works. That’s where both of these stars come from. No debate. But the food… oh baby, the food. I ordered the poke bowl, and let me tell you.. it had all the personality of a beige wall. Rice, onions, and a scavenger hunt for tuna that I’m still not convinced I won. The mango showed up like it had other plans. Flavor? Optional, apparently. The burger situation? I thought I accidentally ordered off the kids menu. I’ve seen bigger commitment in gas station sliders. Sweet potato fries came in soft and confused, like they didn’t know if they wanted to be fries or mashed potatoes. Now I’ll give credit where it’s due, the chicken sandwich showed up ready to compete. Solid portion, decent flavor… honestly felt like it got lost on the way to a better restaurant. And for the life of me, I cannot understand the five star reviews unless there’s something in those drinks turning people into full blown hype machines.
I got three tacos, and they were all fantastic! I never would've thought I would like Mandarin oranges on a taco, but it was such a good combination. The outdoor seating area is great. The service was very fast and the workers were friendly. My sister-in-law also got the Cuban sandwich and she loved it! We will definitely be returning!
The portions are HUGE and the food is incredibly flavorful! They have an outdoor seating section that overlooks the water, too. Everyone is down-to-earth and the vibe is so relaxed. My kind of place. Check out their summer menu. The Cajun fried pickles are really good.
First time visiting and the vibe was very nice. Very relaxed atmosphere. You won't get your food fast but it gives you time to enjoy the live music. It's good to take time and enjoy the atmosphere. The employees are on it when it comes to ordering and cleaning up. Very knowledgeable when I was talking to them about my food allergy worries. My literally only complaint was the rice was undercooked but I wasn't even mad about it. The bowl still tasted great. Definitely would visit again.
