I have been a patient of Dr Stones for nearly 10 years! Dr Stone is amazing. Extremely knowledgeable , caring and compassionate. She listens intently when it is your time with her and values your discussion and input. Dr Stone’s time management and staff were a welcome relief from our previous family doctor. I TRUST going to see her
We absolutely LOVE Dr Stone, but her office staff is a bunch of THE MOST INCOMPETENT people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Yet AGAIN, I went in for a scheduled appointment, only to find out that which ever incompetent staffer took my call, 2 weeks prior to set the appointment, never bothered to actually enter it in the computer.... So, I leave work a bit early, to get there in plenty of time, only to find out there was NOTHING scheduled, and no way for me to be seen that day..... Never mind the fact that I was there for a prescription refill, and I was out..... Additionally, the girl who "set" my appointment originally, also never bothered to let me know I'd need blood work done as well, unless they expected me to get that done there, paying WAY MORE than I pay out in town! The staffer at the front desk had to call for another staffer, and between the two of them, it was nothing short of frustrating....and they seemed "miffed" when I stated that either I was seeing the Dr., or getting a new prescription to last me until yet ANOTHER appointment could be set, and I also requested to speak with my Dr, between patients for a minute or two.....The staffer didn't seem to know how to send the Dr that message..... Finally, when they got me "taken care of", I was actually threatened by the staffer, who told me that she could have me "discharged from that practice", because she didn't "like my attitude"......SERIOUSLY LADY?? Seems, it is not permitted by that staff to get aggravated by their utter incompetence.... Mind you, I kept an even temper, talked in a calm tone, but after nearly 20 minutes of there buffoonery, my patience was running very thin.....I tried to be as accommodating as I could under the circumstances.... But I'm sorry, people in that type of position should at least be fairly well trained.... Time to find a new physician for my family and me, which is a shame, because as poor office staff like that can kill a practice, and we've been going to that office for nearly a decade.....sure wish the old office staff was still there.....these guys just suck.
While i really like Dr. Stone, Her staff messed up a stool sample by giving my wife and I the wrong tubes. They hid this fact from the doctor. I had called the office 3 time requesting the Doctor call me, the last time I was told it is not in the doctors job description to call patient. I also had Dr. Stones personal email and sent her this information and received a bs response back. "I am sorry, I and my staff, disappointed you . We had food poison parasite called cyclospra. The only drug according to the CDC to treat it was called Bactrim. I was given something else. According to the CDC Cyclospra does not show up in stool samples nor in blood samples. We ate at the town center where there was an outbreak of this and told Dr. Stone the exact symptoms as listed on the CDC report. I research what was going on. After refusing to call me back, we went to a new doctor that when I told him what was our symptoms were, he said you have Cyclospora, and said the ONLY thing to treat it is Bactrim. Gave us a 10 day supply and now we are cured.
I wish I could give zero stars however we are forced to give 1star!!! I must say this primary care office is by far the most $$$$ hungry practice I have seen yet! I as well as all 3 of my children have been going to Jennifer Stone since 4/2014 when relocated to Fleming Island. While being a patient there, a mass was found on my thyroid that I & was told could be cancer yet after a biopsy, it was not. With that being said, I was advised by my oncologist that I need scans & blood work done every 6 months. I was seen in July 2020 for the blood work as well as my prescription for my scan however I had something happen that is completely different than the norm. I never received a call from my primary to go over my blood work nor a call to get my scans. Come to find out after many months of waiting, & my calling them, “ they no longer except my insurance” & mailed my blood work results to me!!!! I called them several times asking them “what are we to do about a primary & after 7 calls, they told me about another physician that excepts our Insurance or we can change to Humana”, & continue our care with them! I am beyond disappointed with the lack of care & communication this practice suffers from & to Think that all those years they made all that money off of my insurance yet they couldn’t even give me the common courtesy to contact me in regards to my bloodwork to let me know if I am OK or not! So sad what a greedy society we have become that quality care comes last in greed, supersedes!
Jen is a great doctor. She listens and really cares about your medical problems and goes beyond to help the patient. The office staff is very good also and friendly
