I was not expecting the unpersonable demeanor of Dr Madden or the shortness. All in all I was made to feel like I wasn’t worthy of her 5 minute exam. Was chastised for showering without using plastic bag to cover. I was Not instructed by Urgent care to do so and my appointment with Dr Madden was approximately a week after injury. She also was concerned about skin breakdown which I understand but she made remark get it cleared up or you’ll be back to see me sooner and won’t like what I do. I was shown on laptop the injury and confirmed it was mallet finger. I was asked where I live, first was to follow up in 1 week. Once I replied she said 2 weeks. I understand my injury isn’t dire, but feel all patients should be made to feel comfortable and shown care, not that interruption of her day. I will not return to Fleming Island office because of it. Any further treatment I have I will go back to Riverside. Where I always am shown concern and respect.
Exceptional care, professionalism, etc. and appreciated sense of urgency (one doctor's appointment with me was 4pm the day before surgery for clearance while the other two were ASAP, next day. You see who I keep, and don't.) Dr. Madden explained everything, plus gave me an explanation sheet, since I wasn't coherent, to take home. Thank you so much (and your wonderful staff) for taking such good care of a frightened old lady who had never broken a bone. Nathalie Yeoman
This appointment and experience was amazing and I’m not easily impressed. From the receptionist that checked me in, to the medical assistant, to Jennifer Madden (medical care provider) and then to the last person that I saw for a wrist brace, I was treated with such care and kindness. Even more amazing is that this is a very large office but everything is handled in a speedy, precise and professional manner while still maintaining a caring environment. I couldn’t be more impressed and pleased. I highly recommend Southeast Orthopedic in Fleming Island.
Dr Madden was extremely helpful, and supportive. Answered all concerns and developed a regime going forward to assist me. Thank you so much, can't say enough about the process from checking in through checking out. The best practice I've experienced in years!
