I've been going here now for years before they even moved to their new location. I've had many cleanings, and even my wisdom teeth removed from this practice. My family and I have had nothing but problems. They overcharged my mom hundreds of dollars that eventually they ended up paying back. The administrative office lost our insurance information time and time again. Many times the billing was done incorrectly and I was left fronting charges that should've been taken care of. I chose to receive my orthodontic care from another business because of these problems. When I called the office to get my dental records faxed to my new orthodontist this facility called me back later that day and asked me why I decided to choose someone else for orthodontic treatment. The woman on the phone was short and rude and informed me that they could've done the orthodontic treatment "just fine." Although this should have been my last run in with this business I decided to tough it out one last time after the removal of my braces before switching practices. I scheduled a month and a half in advance to have my teeth cleaned and whitened two days after they were removed. Scheduling both treatments on the same day apparently was a head ache for the office and I spent 20 mins on the phone waiting for them establish an available time and date. Today I called on my way there and spoke to Candace. She informed me that "I have no appointment scheduled for today and they're booked." I reassured her I scheduled an appointment for today and there was nothing she could do. After years at this practice I only have one thing to say. The village dentist's administrative team is absolutely horrendous and their billing is even worse I am beyond done here and will be switching practices immediately.
Only go to this place if you want to be over charged. They will give you an estimate then tell you after the procedure that you owe another couple hundred dollars. They did this every single time then said the insurance company wasn't paying what it said it would. The dentist and hygienists are wonderful but the office staff are horrible, I mean HORRIBLE!!! We went running to find another dentist. I've been going to dentist my entire life and never had this happen at any other place. They low ball you to get you in then stick you with the bill afterwards. How low is that???? Run people Run!
Dr Jeff was great, too bad he left. I was very satisfied with the hygienist and Dr. Branson. They were very easy to talk to and listened to my dental problem and offered different treatment plans. However, once they left I had a lady who came over to go over the treatment options and costs and it went downhill from there. I felt like I was in a car dealership rather than a dentist office, and the pressure to upsell me the most expensive treatment vs the one I could afford made for a very stressful interaction. I cannot remember the ladies name but she was all about upselling and could have cared less to even ask me what I would prefer based on my budget, which I mentioned repeatedly that I was looking for a less expensive option. I felt exactly the same way I do when walking out of a car dealership.
Constantly receiving bills in the mail that were already paid for. Services done ( like fluoride) that were not covered under my insurance and they never asked me if I wanted it until I saw it on my bill. Had to cancel an appointment and then I was called the day after and said I never showed up when I canceled it and even had the receptionist name. Not a very ethical practice. Only go if you want to be overcharged for extra procedures.
Updated 2019- I believe Dr. Jeffery M must have taken over for a previous dentist. The below review was written for Village dentistry with Dr. Nick Tawil. Therefore, please disregard this review. 2017- Went to this dentist for annual visit not experiencing any pain. The Dentist recommended I have an old silver filling replaced not bc of cavity, but bc of the possibility of a cavity as it was 10+ years old. During the procedure, they had to stop and said I needed crown lengthening surgery. So thousands of dollars later, it was complete. I have been in severe pain ever since. Three years later I'm still dealing with the misguided treatment from this one elective procedure. I would never recommend this dentist office.
