I bought a 2015 Nissan Versa from Fred for $6,000 back in January of 2023. It broke down the next day, and he refused to help with repairs or offer a refund. He later blocked me and my bank’s phone number. The vehicle needed $9,000 in repairs to pass a state inspection so I could title, register, or sell the car. The transmission was completely unserviceable. The engine has several stripped heads, the fuel injectors were filthy and missing gaskets. The fenders and bumpers are barely held together. the brake calipers were missing bolts, the brakes sometimes lock up. I could go on for a while but the truth is, I put $15,000 into this car when it was on $5,000 on kbb. Very unprofessional and lacks an extreme amount of integrity. I’m not sure what you’re going through financially, but whatever price Fred is posting, it’s a scam. You’re better off shopping with the many other trustworthy dealers in Jacksonville. -Tyler Crosby Edited post on 5/25/2026 in response to the dealer: You 100% blocked my number. I stopped reaching out when my calls no longer went through to your line. Your only offer for help was for me to buy a new transmission and then we would discuss a price on the installation labor. That is not help, that is scummy businessman behavior. You can consider taking legal actions, but I do have a paper trail of repairs due to the damage undisclosed prior to the purchase of the car. The car couldn’t be legally registered due to the electrical and mechanical damage until 3 years of repairs after the purchase. Perhaps you will think next time before you rip someone off.
