We stopped by Jax Bread Co. for breakfast and were seriously impressed! We tried two different bagels, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the coffee was fresh, and the atmosphere made us want to stay awhile. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu… and maybe even sign up for one of their sour dough making classes! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Jacksonville.
We stumbled on this place while we were searching for sourdough bread in Jacksonville. All of their sourdough pastries were really good! We got the regular sourdough and the jalapeño-cheese loaf to take home—the jalapeño is super unique and packs a nice, spicy punch. We also tried the Coronation chicken (which was amazing), some pastries, and a cold brew. Everything was so delicious, and the woman at the front counter was incredibly helpful and friendly!
VERY expensive, I stopped in a for a quick breakfast sandwich before work and paid $30 for a sandwich and a single pastry! The breakfast sandwich was super bland, sand which hard to eat because sooooo much eggs on it and the bread was tough so the egg would fall out of the sandwich each bite. Ended up only eating the pastry which was amaaaaazing, I’ll probably be sticking to holey moley bagel co and Einstein bagel bros for breakfast but this is a great location for pastry’s even though they’re about $10 each
Quiet, busy and good. I am glad we found this place. A chain breakfast restaurant is nearby, but we wanted to try something local. I had the vegetarian omelet and was pleasantly surprised. It was heavily flavored with herbs. The cherry tomatoes were still a little chilled even though roasted. Not overly salty. One of the best vegetarian omelets I have ever had. I liked how quiet the restaurant was was even though there was a constant flow of customers. Be patient. It is worth the wait for the very nice staff to prepare your order.
We grabbed a nice little brunch and sat on the sidewalk patio. Probably the best bagel I’ve had in Jax, and everything tasted so fresh! Tried the honey bread, which was a delicious French toast-like sweet bread. Super friendly staff and well worth the trip!
