Working with Melissa at Jax Bch Counseling was a smooth and positive experience. She took the time to understand the exact scope of the evaluation, respected all communication guidelines, and remained focused on doing a thorough job. Her professionalism, fairness, and commitment to supporting parents throughout the process were outstanding. Highly recommended!
This place is a joke. Melissa was given clear directions on what was needed which was an evaluation only. She was also given specific directions as to what was and wasn’t acceptable between communication boundaries with my ex and explicitly broke them intentionally. When boundaries were kept FIRM as to exactly what was laid out she then accused me of not coparenting. The entire time she was looking for more billable Hours by starting conflict vs just doing what she was hired. I will be seeking her license being revoked. Stay away from this place, especially fathers protecting their kids.
Fantastic counseling office. Melissa is an amazing therapist that is wonderfully attentive, thoughtful, and most importantly, she offers great feedback and challenges you. A friend listens, but a good therapist finds a way to organize chaotic thoughts and identifies a path to make forward progress, challenges you on your thoughts, and gives “homework” to help you in your path. After using JBC for a year now, I am very impressed and thankful for them!
