Very religious guy here: My school's GSA helps out JASMYN and I think the work they do for LGBT+ Youth is vital to Jacksonville and Florida as a whole. We can learn from their selflessness and inclusivity, especially in this time.
I'm only giving 2 stars because a guy gave me some useful advice on the porch, since I wasn't allowed in, he gave me 2 referrals to other places for housing, since I'm homeless & work. They never answer their phone or respond to messages online or by phone. If you're not millennial Jasmyn doesn't care about you, plain & simple. Life for a transgender generation x is over, nobody cares anymore, every helpful organization nowadays caters to youth. Once I make millions of dollars I'll open my own LGBTQ+ 401c that helps people regardless of their age. I suppressed this all my life since I survived abortion {still pro-choice, pro-free will, pro freedom}
Open arms, open hearts! JASMYN has continued to create a safe place for the LGBTQIA community. This organization has been changing lives for the better for over 30 years.
Very safe , pronoun friendly , Fridays is my ages range (21+) days , food pantry hygiene and case management . They help with resumes at cyber center as well as offering clinic on Thursday to get free HIV testing and STI/STD treatment or they offer services from different companies that they network with to find out info that's helpful and they are very non judgemental and confidential regardless the situation.
I've had the most positive, welcoming, and helpful experience. Everyone is is very accepting and I can't help but be appreciative of everything they have done for me. Thank you JASMYN house.
