Excellent physician. I had seen him on a Friday for bronchitis and by Monday it turned into pneumonia. He sent over additional prescriptions and ordered a chest X-ray without me having to come in again. He follows up to make sure you are taking care. I would recommend him to all my family and friends. Keep up the great job Dr. Patel.
I’ve been an established patient with BH for over 2 years, unfortunately for me, I was scheduled to see Dr. Patel in my primary care Drs. absence. Both my established Dr and my prior physicians practice had me on this approved therapy for 5 years. All of my labs supported my ability to safely be on therapy, prior scripts were written with the same results prior but Dr. Patel, who admittedly had zero experience with this common therapy, refused to write my script. Not only did Dr. Patel single handedly break my continuity of care, he made me feel as though I was an abuser of this standard therapy of men my age with his accusatory questioning even though I have a well documented history and labs that raise zero risks or justification to refuse my therapy. Now I have to wait for my primary Dr. to return while dealing with the downside of not being on therapy during my most active outdoor months due to his lack of comfort and education with this therapy. I do not recommend Dr. Patel and if I did not have such a good relation with Dr. Tice, who I highly recommend, I would be leaving this practice since even the Office Manager, Lori, had the audacity to tell me she didn’t know what the big deal was because my last script was written months ago, what does it hurt to wait a few more months.
Dr. Patel is fantastic! I’ve had two appointments with him so far, including a follow-up to discuss test results. He is highly professional, caring, and took the time to explain my results in a way that was very easy to understand. Highly recommend him if you are looking to establish care with a great doctor.
If you have the unfortunate pleasure of having to schedule an appointment with Dr Patel, do yourself a favor and run as quickly as you can in the opposite direction. I went in with complaining of eye discharge, eye pain, ear pain, and an intense cough. This man who claims he is a doctor had the audacity to insinuate that I was exaggerating my symptoms and that they’re just allergies. As my symptoms worsened through the day, I called him back & all he said was he would put in a referral. Now I’ve awoken in the middle of the night with loss of some vision in my left eye, can barely talk, and intense ear pain and ringing that I believe could be from an ear infection. I don’t do google reviews. But that’s how bad of a doctor he is. Unkind, unprofessional, got annoyed with every question & only cares about getting you in and out of his office. Worst doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I hope he doesn’t do anyone else the way he’s done me.
I’d give negative stars if I could honestly. I asked him for months for further imaging due to the left flank pain I’ve been having. Decided to switch doctors and the new doctor was concerned and ordered a CT right away. Turns out I have a kidney stone that might need surgery. Dr. Patel wouldn’t listen to my concerns and kept playing it off as it’s just muscle pain even though I told him I know my body and it’s not fricken muscle pain. He never listened to anything I said. I also randomly started developing severe hives throughout my body and he refused to put in a referral for an allergist even though when I was at the ER (for a different reason) they advised I see an allergist. Every time we had a visit and I read the notes it would not show what I was saying even though he records it via AI. The MA is amazing though she gets 5/5 stars. She’s incredible sweet and kind.
