Dr. Thornton and the team here at Jax Peds have been taking care of us for more than 8 years and we couldn’t be happier. They treat us like family and make each visit with our kids easy and simple. They don’t hesitate to spend the extra time to help educate us on our kids needs and expectations. 10/10 would recommend.
I want to start by saying that we really love Jacksonville Pediatrics. The doctors have always been great, kind, caring, and very good with my children. We saw Dr. T today, and as always, we appreciate the care and attention he provided. However, I do want to bring a concern to your attention regarding one of the staff members who takes the vitals. This is not the first time we have encountered her, and unfortunately, each interaction has left us feeling uncomfortable because of how short and rude she comes across. She does not seem friendly or welcoming when interacting with us, and at times it feels as though we have done something wrong simply by being there. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but because this has happened more than once, I felt it was important to say something. I would actually prefer not to have this particular staff member handle my children's vitals in the future, if that is an option. I completely understand that staff assignments may not always allow for that, but I wanted to ask if there is a way to make that request or have it noted on our account. Again, I want to emphasize that we think highly of the doctors and have had many positive experiences with the practice. This concern is specifically about our repeated interactions with this particular staff member and the way we are made to feel during those interactions. I’m not looking to cause a problem or get anyone in trouble. I simply want my children and our family to feel comfortable, respected, and welcomed when we come in for their care. I would appreciate someone addressing this concern and letting me know what options are available moving forward. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my concerns.
I have four kids ages 6-16 and I have taken them here for about 14 years. We have been seen by Cantville, Southhall, Savarese, Thornton, Lott, and Stanley. Maybe others? They’re all good. The best thing about this place is that they can fit you in pretty quickly due to having so many providers. Mrs. Stephanie is amazing with the scheduling. I’m not sure there is another place as efficient, professional and competent as this. I would confidently recommend them to anyone with little ones.
We love Jax Peds! We've been patients there for many years with having 2 children. Dr. Thornton and Dr. Connelly are awesome! The staff are always so sweet too! I really appreciate that I can get in same day for a sick appointment. Highly recommend!
We have been patients of this pediatrician’s office since our children were born, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care and support they have provided over the years. Now that our children are 15, it means so much to look back and know they have had the same caring, knowledgeable team guiding them through every stage of their childhood. From newborn visits to annual checkups, illnesses, questions, and everything in between, the doctors, nurses, and staff have always been compassionate, patient, and truly invested in our children’s health and well-being. They take the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make both parents and kids feel comfortable and cared for. Finding a pediatrician you trust is priceless, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had such a wonderful office be part of our family’s journey for the past 15 years. Thank you for the years of dedication, kindness, and outstanding care. We highly recommend this practice to any family looking for a pediatric team they can trust!
