I stayed out here for 3 years..& for the most part, things ran smoothly. The apartments are nice on the inside especially for them to be income based However, be prepared for the rude maintenance people who beat down your door and, go into your apartment and rummage through your things when you’re not there. Not to mention, be prepared to have your deposit snatched when you move out for things that aren’t true. I moved out on March 31st and I made sure to clean the apartment pretty much from top to bottom. The only thing I could have saw myself being charged for was carpet cleaning, a pull chain on my master bedroom ceiling fan, and there was a spot in my refrigerator that was really hard to get up. Other than that, the apartment was left in pretty good shape. These People charged me for blinds that I had already paid to have replaced TWICE ! Charged me for blinds in my master bedroom and nothing was wrong with them, charged me to change damn light builds that I had just changed maybe a month before moving out..the light builds are crappy in my opinion, and the list goes on ! Cars being broken into, tires being slashed, residents being jumped by other residents..the police were called out to the building every other day ! If you like your peace, I would not recommend living out here. If you don’t wanna deal with shady management and maintenance, I would not recommend living out here.
The manager Mrs.Gordon is extremely unprofessional, very rude, and does not take her job seriously at all. She has a problem answering the simplest questions. She will not keep you informed on anything. She rarely give updates and when she does she will inform you of important things the day before so you have to keep calling her. Anything you need to know, she would rather send you downtown then to find out information on her own. Not to mention she is a liar. She will put words in your mouth and tell you that you’ve said things you never said. Please be aware of her!!!! And my apartment has been filled with enormous cockroaches as well as smaller roaches and spiders since the day I moved in. No amount of cleaning will make them go away! The insides are old and falling apart. The fridges are old and rusty. The tubs are rusted and old. The kitchen counters are stained with burn marks. The AC unit froze less than a month after moving in. The window screens are horrible and rusted as you can see on every apartment when you drive past. They have washer hookup but no dryer hookup. Water occasionally leaked in all of my neighbors apartments and although temporarily fixed the leaking never stopped permanently. Leaking in apartments had become normal. Maintenance is HORRIBLE. They have no clue what they’re doing. Unless you’re dealing with hard times and desperate with no other place to go then these are not the apartments for you.
Roaches roaches and more roaches. I can’t speak for the new apartments but the old ones, the ones they don’t post pictures of are disgusting. Everything is old and falling apart. The floors, the walls, the paint, the ac units, the doors. And all the apartments are filled with roaches.
