  Everything was great, until it wasn’t. My husband and I have been going to this practice for years. Recently we rescheduled a few appointments: 1 due to being sick and 2 others we did not receive confirmation texts for. When I spoke to the office staff to reschedule I was never told we would be receiving a bill for missed appointment fees. When we received the bill I immediately called to discuss the fees. Front office told me they would waive the fees and confirmed our upcoming appointments. When I received the confirmation text for my next appointment it stated I had a copay due. I questioned this because I knew we did not have copays at this practice. They responded stating this, in fact, was not a copay but the remainder owed from our missed appointment fees. I brought up our previous conversation where they stated the fees would be waived and disguising this as a “copay” is fraudulent and a blatant lie. They could not provide me with a direct answer and eventually had the Dr call me to discuss. He was also pretty rude and did not want to take responsibility for his staff stating this fee was a “copay” or that his office was not sending out confirmation texts. My husband and I ultimately decided it would be best to seek dental care elsewhere. If we had received confirmation texts 2 of the 3 appointments would not have been missed. Between both of us we have only ever missed 1 appointment in all the years we have been going to this practice. We also had almost $70 in credits on our accounts they put toward these fees, so it was upsetting they were still wanting to collect more money from us to put toward the fees.
