In a very pleasant little side property off of San Pablo Rd. surrounded by woods sits a surprisingly large VPK and the church. There's lots of places to play, playground equipment, but it's not public. It is for the students and perhaps the parishioners as well. A good mellow spot
Before the pumpkin season is over, I recommend visiting this church, they have a great variety of pumpkins and different sizes. The people who work there are very attentive and collaborative with all visitors. and the best thing is that they are open until 8:00 so if you can not go in the day, you can enjoy and take beautiful photos at night too.
I want to share my experience with this daycare so other parents are aware. While the staff may seem friendly at first, I found communication to be extremely dismissive and unprofessional. Questions about my child’s schedule and needs were repeatedly ignored or answered in a way that made me feel like I was overreacting. Even simple clarifications were met with defensive and gaslighting responses, which is unacceptable when it comes to a child’s care. I cannot in good conscience recommend this daycare to anyone who expects clear, respectful communication regarding their child. Parents, please be aware and make sure your concerns are taken seriously.
My overall experience with this daycare has been deeply disappointing and, at times, stressful. Throughout the school year, I repeatedly encountered issues involving communication, professionalism, and overall care. There have been multiple situations where concerns regarding my child were not clearly communicated. In one instance, my child was injured during the day, and I was given only a very brief, one-sentence report to sign with no detailed explanation of what occurred. Following that incident, my child continued to complain of head pain for several days, yet there was no proactive follow-up, reassurance, or thorough documentation provided by staff. As a parent, that level of response is extremely concerning. I have also experienced ongoing issues with communication. At times, I felt dismissed when trying to address concerns, and I did not consistently receive updates about how my child was doing. Clear, responsive communication should be a basic expectation in any childcare setting, and that was not my experience here. Another serious concern involved an incident with another parent who behaved in a hostile and inappropriate manner toward me on campus. Despite the severity of that situation, I did not feel that it was handled with the level of urgency or protection that a family should expect in what is supposed to be a safe environment. Additionally, over time I became increasingly concerned about fairness and consistency in how concerns were handled. Based on my personal experience, I did not always feel that my concerns were taken as seriously as they should have been, which raised deeper concerns for me about overall attentiveness and responsiveness. While there were a small number of staff members who were kind and provided positive experiences, the overall environment did not reflect the level of care, accountability, and professionalism I expected—especially from an institution that presents itself as faith-based. As a parent, I value transparency, communication, and a nurturing environment. Unfortunately, my experience here did not consistently reflect those values. I would encourage other parents to ask detailed questions, remain actively involved, and ensure they feel fully confident in the level of care their child is receiving.
My daughter went to IOF last year for the VPK program they have here, we had the privilege of having the absolute best teacher ever. Mrs.Tonia she was greater than words! So honest, loving , caring to our daughter and all the kids in the class! She is so patient, she taught our daughter so many new things. Our daughter is so amazed by Mrs.Tonia. She was a great mentor to her, She never wanted to leave school. ☺️ If anyone is looking for a great, safe, amazing environment for your children I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this center and I RECOMMEND you ask for Mrs.Tonia!!!! She’s the best of the best! They say, you never really work if you have a job that you love and is your passion, and It is everything to Mrs.Tonia! The Parrish family ❤️
