When I visited Dr. Morales for the first time a while back, he ordered a series of blood tests. I told him I was leaving the following week on a long trip. He said I could call in to discuss the test results if they were abnormal. The tests showed what appeared to be some seriously abnormal results which were unknown to me prior to the test. Of course, this was very disturbing. When I tried to call Dr. Morales' office to discuss the results with him as he said I could, his nurse ("Lou") and his MA ("Teddy") both said he would only speak with me if I visited the office in person. When I explained that was not possible, they insisted it was against their policy for me to speak with him on the phone. When I said Dr. Morales himself had told me to call in, they still refused to set up a phone call. "Teddy" did say he (or she...difficult to tell by voice) would ask Dr. Morales and call me back. That did not happen (I kept a close eye on my voice mail). Meanwhile, I was very concerned about the abnormal test results. So I called an old friend who is a retired M.D. and he walked me through the results as a favor. Presumably, "Lou," and "Teddy" went into the healthcare field because they care about people. If so, they failed to demonstrate that they cared in my case and instead showed callous disregard for someone whose circumstances didn't fit their "policy." All I was asking for was 5 minutes on the phone with the doctor, and yes, I would have happily paid for it.
The experience was very good. The assistant was pleasant when taking my blood pressure, temperature and weight. He also did my yearly EKG. It was quick and effortless. He was very professional. When in the exam room for Dr Morales. He greeted me and discussed my lab results. He spoke to me so I understood what he was seeing. One thing that was borderline, we talked about and he provided an explanation of what he believed it was what would help . He also asked me about anything else I’d like to discuss. He was so attentive and wanted me to follow up in 3 months. Dr Farhat and Dr Morales are very caring and supportive that you walk out feeling like you are important and they want you to be the best you can be.
Dr Farhat has been my PCP for 3 years since I moved to St Augustine and he has been nothing short of being a very good doctor. He listens to me and only prescribes medications when he absolutely has to. Highly recommend him.
the young ladies are always so friendly and helpful! and both Dr Morales and Dr Farhat are great!!! i forgot to mention as are the 2 techs ( the gentleman and gentl-woman). Always so caring and cheerful and making sure i'm fine. They all have patience of a saint
I met with Dr. Morales for the first time this week. He was very pleasant and made me feel at ease. He listened to my concerns and was very knowledgeable about my medical situation. Dr. Morales took the time to listen to me and offer excellent advice on how to proceed. I highly recommend this practice as both Dr. Farhat and Dr. Morales are excellent doctors.
