Island Construction did a great job on my house exterior replacement. They were extremely professional, responsive and showed up on time everyday they said they would be onsite. They delivered on the concept rendering we provided! Heath is running a business you can trust!

I Can’t say enough good things about Island Construction! They installed Hardiboard siding on my house and did a great job. The work was of excellent quality at a very fair price. They went above and beyond by replacing 2 mirrors inside the house that broke during installation. All I did was tell them the mirrors had broken and they replaced them without question. Very easy to work with. If you want an honest, fair and professional contractor retain Island Construction.
Island’s Construction has been renovating a 50’s house that I purchased a little over a year ago. I have been told that first impressions make all the difference. As I drive up to my new home I am so impressed with the quality and design of the exterior from the James Hardie siding to the new windows and the lovely lighting. I am frequently out of the country as I am a pilot. Therefore, I have worked long distance with Heath and Cindy. They have been most helpful, easy to communicate with, and above all else, trustworthy.
Updated 2/10/2026 It’s been several years since buying this home. I still stand by my initial review. The original company apparently closes doors because the review is gone, but I standby everything. I’ve said the people behind this company are shady and take shortcuts to make money with absolutely no regard for the homeowner or the person buying. “Veteran” friendly. Yea, whatever. I have had to finance and put tens of thousands into this home to fix crap that was covered up for years is absolutely disgusting. But according to owner, Cindy, everything passed the inspection so it’s not on them. The simple fact that you cannot hold yourself accountable and you just say it passed an inspection says a lot about you as a person. Almost 5 years after purchasing this home, and I’m still finding areas in which this “veteran” friendly company took MASSIVE shortcuts, and in the words of Cindy “it passed VA inspection, not our problem..” nah, see that’s not how that is supposed to work. Uncovering rot and mold inside the wall, behind new drywall, parts of the house that holes and empty space behind the siding, had to put almost 10k into my bathroom because there was so much moisture damage because they work was that bad. Just remodeled one of the rooms for our new born, pulled the carpet up (this room was a storage room) and we found razors, garbage, holes in the subfloor, and the carpet looked like it had ripped and pull from another house, just covered in stains…come to find out, all the carpet that was installed in the house was recycled from another house… not to mention the amount of trash and razors found under the other carpet.. also, how stupid do you have to be to cover soft spots or holes in the subfloor? Or if that another problem for me since it passed inspection? There’s part of the house I haven’t began to fix because I know it’s going uncovered and cost more than I can afford now. But, hey, it passed inspection. I guess morals and integrity go out the window when you can’t see it. Absolutely disgusting, save your time and money.. Almost 3 years into being in my home that was flipped by this company and I’m still finding things wrong with the work, plumbing was garbage under the house, had to redo the plumbing for the tub and sinks everywhere. the walls and drywall patch work is and was horrible, the siding on the side of house is absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen ( garbage J channel, mismatch siding pieces, the skirting isn’t even attached to the house, etc) Update 12/26/2022 Having to completely remodel my entire bathroom due to water damage around the entire tub, toilet and floor. Tile job was completely shot, not water proofed whatsoever, they covered up rotted boards with new drywall, found mold inside the walls, having to drop a whole load of cash to repair all this mess. Noticed there was something off about the front of the house with the siding, removed the siding slightly to find they sided OVER AN OPEN WALL, there’s absolutely no OSB or decking under the vinyl in areas.. A company that prides themselves on their work and loves veterans, I would have been better off living in a refrigerator box at this rate. Absolute disgrace. If you’re getting a home and this company is attached to it, do a very good inspection because had I known everything I do today, I wouldn’t have paid even close to what they asked. DO NOT RECOMMEND this company or House and Haven Realty because the owner of this company also sells houses.
We engaged Island Construction for two separate projects. They provided creativity, experience and professional guidance throughout each project. Their pricing was well within industry standards, and we love the final product. Thank you, Heath and Cindy.
