I am blessed to be able to volunteer with this amazing organization and outstanding group of volunteers. The impact we make on local school children is so important. My last time there we supplied 10 children ranging from kindergarten to high school with much needed school supplies and clothing/shoes/jackets and hygiene products. The warehouse is stocked with a wide assortment of clothing all of which is donated and much of which is new! Even then we often run low and need to put a call out for donations. The board really cares about these kids and Hugs.
What an amazing program for kids in schools who need the nutritional support to help them get through the week. The staff at Hugs are wonderful group of people who listen to the needs of their population! What a wonderful way to support our children though tough times. Lots of love to each and every member who supports this endeavor!
HUGS has been a huge help with our group of students. We are going through a cold spell and some students can't afford warm clothes. We put in a referral and they were as quick as Amazon. Appreciate all they do as a nonprofit. They do so much more in other areas as well. Feeding hungry students in St Johns County is one they coordinate well. They supply schools with a full pantry so students can take home weekly bags of food. Thank you HUGS!
Hugs is a great way to volunteer. We make food deliveries to school with students who are food insecure! Our food deliveries make a big difference for students who might have limited food on the weekend.
Hugs is an invaluable resource for SJCSD families. The volunteers consistently go above and beyond to help, no matter the situation!
