We booked 2 nights in this hotel. When we showed up to the property and walked into the room, it was extremely smelly. And then we find roaches, crawling out of the woodwork, and even going into our drinking cups, the management is very rude, very disrespectful. We didn't even get to sleep in our room. Because we were afraid of roaches, crawling all over us and the smell was horrendous, and when we left early, they agreed to refund us for our stay, but only refunded 41 night and they are charging us a cancellation fee of the same amount that we paid for tonight. I would not absolutely would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. I wouldn't invite the devil himself to stay at this hotel. They should be ashamed of their establishment and of their behavior and of their customer service. I am appalled at what I have experienced with this business. Please do not go to this establishment

This place stole 150.00 from me and I never spent one night in this dump. I was staying in Jacksonville NC fourth of July taking my kids to the fireworks I booked a room there 2 days in advance through booking online upon arriving they didn't have my room and in a panic I accidentally selected a hotel in Jacksonville fl that I had to pay upfront. Realizing my error 30 minutes after booking I immediately called booking and the front desk manger spoke with both. They cancelled my reservation and Raul the front desk clerk refused to refund me he simply pocketed my money .. said it wasn't his mistake.. There's a special place in Hell for this man and I hope he finds the location. I will never again using booking services and this place and the ppl there ... I hope they have the life they deserve
I do not recommend this place at all. The rooms are full of dampness—it is impossible to breathe—and the mattresses are so old that you can feel the springs. The rooms are dirty, and the pillows and towels are old. Not even the coffee at breakfast was good; I have stayed in budget hotels that offer much better experiences.
The attempted to pull a fast one on me and failed. I booked a room in advance through a trusted third party website. During the online process I specified my checking time was going to be 8:30 p.m. like a clock I was at the front desk at exactly that same time. The receptionist attempted to charge me an additional $ 22,50 for what she called an early check-in fee. Early check in at 830pm?? No way. I showed her the email with the booking confirmation and all details which included total price and no additional fees are to be charged. She rudely answered that's what the manager had told her, and when I asked to see the manager and she really replied "the manager is not here". I made my point very firmly to her reiterating I was not going to pay any additional charges, and I was calling the police immediately. She then backed off and very rudely and swearing gave me the keys to my room. Be very careful with these people, I made the mistake to book without reading the reviews. There's something very strange going on here.
This experience was genuinely horrible, and I say that as someone who understands you get what you pay for sometimes. But this was beyond “cheap hotel” territory. The second you walk in, it smells like someone dropped an entire bottle of cologne and tried to cover up a deeper issue. Then you get to the lobby and are greeted by an entirely different musty odor. At that point, we should’ve taken it as a warning sign. The front desk receptionist was decent enough, but once we headed toward the room… whew. The hallway alone had us questioning our life choices. We were literally dreading opening the room door. Then BAM. The smell inside the room hit us like a physical force. I went to turn on the AC and a German cockroach crawled out to personally welcome us. At that point it was late, we had kids with us, and we tried to brush it off because “maybe it’s just one.” It was NOT just one. A few friends came over (and they have the audacity to have stipulations on that) and immediately commented on the smell also. Then we started spotting more roaches. Dead ones, live ones, surprise guest appearances in random corners. The carpet had questionable stains, there was hair all over the bathroom floor that definitely did not belong to us, and the final straw? A ROACH. IN. THE. BED. Absolutely not. We packed our things immediately and left and go a refund. Returned the key to the same front desk worker, who acted shocked about the roaches. Sir… unless this was your very first shift on planet Earth, there is simply no way this was new information. Yes, it’s a budget hotel. Nobody expected luxury. But basic cleanliness and pest control should not be considered premium amenities. To succeed my recommendation would be Invest in fumigation and proper housekeeping because you would honestly make more money if people could sleep without sharing a pillow with wildlife. 0/10. Would not recommend!!!! Photo proof of the disgusting conditions taken on May 8th 2026.
