The weather and time of year were perfect, but even in hot weather, a lot of the dining places has shaded, green courtyards. There's a lot of really special little shops, like leather works, pearl jewelry, pottery, wind chimes, and some very special handmade items. You could go numerous times and still find more treasures to discover. This is where most of the oldest original buildings are located. Very popular spot for both locals and visitors from far and wide. Lots of water stations for dogs as well.

Visiting the Old Jail in Saint Augustine is a must. The staff from the ticket booth attendant to the tour guides really went above and beyond. A big shout out to the tour guide Ceasil he is a great story teller and really keeps you entertained while supplying you with facts. I was only able to take the day time tour during my trip ( the night time tour has to do with the paranormal which makes sense knowing the old jail is known to be one of if not the most haunted location in St. Augustine ) but I would say no matter the time of tour you do ( day or night ) you would not be disappointed!!! They really got their A game going at the Old Jail!!!
From growing up visiting here and now living here with my own family the magic is still here. This town has grown so much over the years and the crowds downtown are larger than ever, it’s still the most fun place. The history, the weather, the people it all works together to be the best place experience for both locals and tourists. There are so many wonderful gems here and it’s impossible to get to all of it in one visit. When you are here, take a moment to just take it all in. Sit on a bench and just take in the beauty. Walk the seawall and feel the breeze come off the water. Wait and watch the bridge go up. Enjoy yourself and time you have here.
The historical trolley tour was great, even in the rain. Very informative and Summer the conductor had dad jokes to spare as she told us about St. Augustin. I recommend starting early in the day, so you have time to exit and explore.
Beautiful place to visit. I can be here for a week. There is so much to see. Alas, I only had one day and tried to make the best of it. The architecture is gorgeous. Looking at the old buildings was enough for me. I will be back. So much more to do and see here. Make sure you visit Historic St Augustine.
