Historic Mt Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church

This was my first and only time here. I attended for a friends, fathers' funeral. There are several entrances & are keep locked. I was a little late and the service had begun. However I had to make efforts to enter, three different doors, which where all locked. I attempted all three doors twice, just as I was turning to leave, a gentleman open the door and asked how long had I been knocking. Due to the location, I can somewhat understand keeping the doors locked. The inside sanctuary was nice.

Truly a blessing to be able to go back there

Very historic landmark church. Window panes are beautiful! The overall outline of the church is history in itself. However, the steps may need a little updating as well as parking.

Historic Mt. Zion AME Church. I enjoyed attending a Convention. Looking for a church in the downtown area of Jacksonville, FL. Stop by and feel the spirit.
