Hero Jan.21,2026 I have had 2 unrelated visits to Hero Medical at Crescent City Beach Florida. The facility is immaculate and the doctor and staff have great people skills. Cassie is perpetual motion and her friendliness and professionalism is paramount. Janet was also very attentive.Dr. Michael Alea told me everything that would happen in the procedure during it he asked me several times if I was ok. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk Nona greeted me with a smile as I walked in and took care of all my appointments scheduling needs. All the staff moved like clockwork. Everyone takes their job seriously without jeopardizing friendliness . If you need any of the services Hero Medical Crescent City offers , you should go. You will not regret it. If I had one negative thing to say and this (might be isolated to me). I think they need a more in-depth (written) instruction sheet for post procedure. When we got home we had medication and dietary questions and I had to cancel a dental appointment because it is considered not-advisable for 5 weeks after the procedure which I was unaware of, as it wasn’t on any sheet I filled out & I was never asked if I had plans for any procedures. With this said, it was as stated above a positive experience that I would do again if needed.
Went in for the stem cell procedure after years of enduring pain. Before the procedure, walking was horrible, each step was like being stabbed. My knee looked like it had a softball where the knee should be. 5 weeks post op and I am completely pain free and the swelling is 90% down. Its nothing short of miraculous. Everyone there is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. It was one of the best choices I've ever made. 100% recommend.
In March 2020, I suffered a serious knee injury. Having already undergone three knee surgeries—including ACL reconstruction and two meniscus repairs—I was devastated to learn that my knee had deteriorated to the point of being bone-on-bone with arthritis in both knees. My doctor told me I was close to needing a knee replacement, and despite over a year of physical therapy, my condition didn’t improve. I struggled with daily pain, constant swelling, and a severe limp. I couldn’t climb stairs, run, or even walk long distances without discomfort. Then, I learned about Hero Medical through a close relative and decided to schedule a consultation. Soli and the doctor thoroughly explained the benefits of stem cell treatment and PRP therapy, giving me hope for the first time in years. After receiving the treatment, my life changed dramatically. It has now been three years since I received treatment and My pain and swelling decreased, and I regained mobility I never thought possible. Today, I can hike, dance, jog, and even teach yoga—something doctors once told me I would never be able to do again. I am beyond grateful to Hero Medical for giving me my life back. This treatment truly saved me, and I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with chronic knee pain or mobility issues. Thank you, Hero Medical!
They have such a compassionate team that truly wants you to be well. Thank you Hero Medical and to Felix who let me know about the place. I know that the stem cell procedure is going to be nothing short of a miracle!
Alert: verbose review but they've earned it: Various establishments claim they treat you like family. At Hero Medical, it's not a cliche, it's reality. Their compassionate care is only surpassed by their comptence. Thanks to Island Doctors (my PCP) I was referred to Hero Medical 6 years ago for stem cell for the right hip. Still pain free. Last year I had a PRP injection for osteoarthritis in right shoulder. Recently underwent stem cell procedure for the shoulder as a preventive measure to maintain my progress. Then there is a five week follow up of pulse magnetic therapy 2x per week to maximize rqesults. My spouse has also received successful stem cell and PRP treatments (knee). I'm a 2x cancer survivor approaching 80 yet remain active, getting 8K-9K plus steps daily and playing golf in part thanks to Island Doctors and their partnership with Hero Medical. At Hero, family starts at reception and that atmosphere/attitude permeates throughout the staff. In a word, they care. Kudos for their wellness service to the senior demographic on the First Coast.
