If you are looking for a legitimate thrift store, this isn't it. I'll explain why: - the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Not on any specific item, or section, even. The entire store is overpriced. - I enjoy looking for new books to read. THEY PUT STICKERS ON THEIR BOOKS. A big no-no for anyone who collects or likes to keep their books in good shape. - Adult and Children's books are both substantially overpriced. - There was a decent amount of adult books overall, but a lot of them were cookbooks, or religious material. Not a readers paradise. There were MINIMAL children's books. So little that it took up approximately 1/4 of one shelf on a bookshelf. - Electronics? There were NONE. - ONE tiny shelf that had some CD's and DVD's. - 2 aisles had "kitchen" items. The shelves weren't full - in fact, everything is spaced out with plenty of room in between. More than enough room. A few dish sets and a small amount of glassware. I didn't see ANY pots, pans or small kitchen appliances besides I think a coffee maker. - They have some clothing but it's all overpriced. All of it. - Same thing with shoes - they have a small selection but they are ridiculously priced. - There is a "toy" section that has stuff your kids don't want. Nothing special at all. - Overpriced furniture and paintings take up nearly HALF THE STORE. Not only will I not be coming back to this store, I wouldn't donate any items here either. The pricing on everything in the store makes it CLEAR that they are not catering to a customer base that is less wealthy and in need - AND - it's 100% obvious that whoever owns this store is filling the stores inventory with the "sludge" of their donations and keeping anything decent to sell a different way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING AT THIS THRIFT STORE.
What an amazing place with an authentic vintage vibe! Great selection of items with great prices. Fun atmosphere. This was our first visit, and it's a stop we will definitely be adding to our List.
Nice resale store with nice quality goods! The good thing with the Haven Hospice Store is that the profits help out our local hospice service. Unlike other second hand stores that say they are Good and Will keep the profits in the community not in a CEOs checking account, Haven walks the walk. Prices are really good, I buy $80-$90 high end dress shirts that look factory new for $2-$7! Below is an $80 Patagonia fishing shirt, factory new for $6.99! They have a little bit of everything in the store with daily sales! Even been in on a Saturday and they have had live music! Keep local money local! Support Haven Hospice Attic Resale Store! God Bless Hospice! Florida Man Approved!
It's a nice, well organized, clean thrift store that sells good quality products that are used and sometimes new. The prices do seem a little bit higher but they offer daily specials and have a $1 clothing rack. Very limited kitchen items.
I donate things there so someone can have nice things at a low price. I noticed something I donated to be priced way too high. I think they are becoming more greedy than letting people enjoy a nice item at low prices. I know the $$ goes to hospice, but I think their priorities are wrong. I won't be donating any more. If I go in and see they have gone back to their old compassionate pricing, I will start donating again. I think both missions can be accomplished.
