Happy Medium Books Cafe

A wonderful book store and café. I drank a cortado and learned about the history of Jacksonville’s most legendary music club, “Einstein-a-go-go.”

Extremely cute book store, with wide selection from all genres. Very well laid out, with cards from the staff describing some popular picks, and showcasing staffers favorites. The employee working was very nice, and gave my husband a free cup of coffee, as she was closing everything down around 7pm. I ended up picking out a book by a local author, and was surprised to find it was a signed copy!

Such a wonderful place! The cold brew is on point - flavorful and not bitter. I asked for recommendations for inspirational books and was immediately presented with serval books to review. There’s space to play games or just hunker down and get some work done. (I’m trying to ignore the bakery section- all kinds of options.) I truly appreciate a good atmosphere and excellent customer service. This place does not disappoint.

Love this spot - first time here while meeting up with some friends for coffee with our littles. The kids section was what allowed us to hang out for a while there, great play area and facilities. We went around 3pm during the week and wasn’t busy at all. The coffee was great, got my usual dirty chai. They also have a good pastry menu - I got the espresso brownie. Good size for its price! The bookstore stole my heart - I’ve actually never been to a book cafe until this place. I even found the exact books I was looking for all for a great price. Both new and used were on the floor. Super stoked to go back!
