Hanna Park Campground

Second year in a row camping for spring brake. We love this Park; the proximity to the beach is really convenient even though you have another beach 16 min away from here, you can just relax in here and enjoy. We stayed at the RV campground, the sites have a lot of shade. If you don’t like worms be warned that there are a lot of worms during spring. The bathroom/shower in the campground were very dirty all the time I tried to use them. This is family friendly and pet friendly campground and beachfront, you can take your dog to walk on a leash

The campground is nice with two playgrounds and a camp store. The roads are very narrow so. You need to watch for trees with your RV and the actual camp sites are very small. The showers were filthy, no place to put your clothes where the wouldn't get wet, and had bad water pressure, but at least the water was hot. The bike trails were very fun and the beach was nice and close to the campground.

Hanna Park is our go-to local beach and camping destination in North Jax. We love the trails for biking! The cabins are primitive and affordable. Campsite are often booked well in advance, so plan your trip accordingly! Day trips to the beach are $5 per vehicle, and well worth it. There are bathrooms and outdoor showers near the beach access points and near the splash pad and playground.

Hannah Park Campground was a really pleasant experience overall. Check-in was easy and smooth, and our campsite was ready right on time, which made settling in stress-free. The grounds were very clean and well maintained, and it was clear that care is taken to keep everything orderly and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean as well, though a couple of additional shower heads would definitely help during busier times. What stood out most was how quiet it was. It felt peaceful and relaxing, and no one bothered us, which made it easy to truly unwind and enjoy being outdoors. There’s so much to do without it feeling overwhelming. You can fish, hike, bring your own bike or rent one, and it’s pet-friendly as long as pets are kept on a leash, which is a big plus. One of the coolest parts is the location. Having both a lake and the ocean nearby is pretty special and gives you options depending on your mood. The views throughout the park are endless and beautiful, making it easy to slow down and take everything in. Hannah Park is a great place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and just be present for a while.
