Hair Cuttery

I was a little nervous walking into Hair Cuttery because I knew I wasn’t their typical clientele, but Josemar completely put me at ease and exceeded my expectations. He teamed up with another stylist (who we jokingly called his daughter), and together they took amazing care of my hair. The shampoo experience alone was incredible—I could have fallen asleep in that chair. Josemar seamlessly washed, blow-dried, trimmed, and silk-pressed my hair with confidence and expertise. He clearly knows what he’s doing and made the entire process feel effortless. I will say that one interaction with the manager regarding the thickness of my hair wasn’t delivered with the warmest disposition, but it was a small moment that didn’t overshadow the excellent service I received overall. I’ll definitely be booking again, and I especially want to encourage women with 4C curls specifically to give Josemar a try. He handled my hair beautifully, and I left feeling cared for, confident, and very happy with my results!

For starters, I never leave reviews, ever, anywhere; however, I feel this one is warranted. Josemar is phenomenal at men’s haircuts. He has been a professional in this industry for decades upon decades, and is not only skilled in men’s hair, but also women’s. I have never had an “dedicated barber” that I book in advance with… but after my second impromptu cut with Josemar just now, I booked my next cut, and will continue to do so. Additionally, he is extremely easy and pleasant to speak with, and as an introvert, that’s saying a lot. He is an overall very interesting person to talk with. Should he ever leave Hair Cuttery I will follow as a client wherever he goes - Even if it meant driving 30 miles.

I just spent a wonderful afternoon with Jessica. Her expertise in hair cutting, color and all the extras has always made me thankful for her knowledge. Book her you won’t be disappointed

Jessica was wonderful in color correcting my color matching my natural color after a bad hi light at another salon. I looked like a scare crow when I walked in with brittle hi lighted hair and walked out with my normal silky dark brown. Lesson learned to not do hi lights again. Thanks to Jessica for making my Memorial Day weekend enjoyable.
