If you’re looking for a fantastic place for great beer and even better times with friends, Green Room Brewing in Jacksonville Beach is an absolute must-visit. This spot has been a staple since 2011, and it totally delivers on that laid-back, surf-forward vibe that makes you feel like you’re kicking back in the perfect wave’s “green room.” The beer lineup is outstanding—bold, flavorful, and perfectly drinkable. Standouts like their Head High IPA and Count Shakula Stout are house favorites for good reason, and the rotating taps (usually around 16 house brews plus guests) keep things exciting with creative seasonal and experimental options. Whether you’re into crisp IPAs, rich stouts, or something adventurous like their pepper-infused reds, there’s something here for every palate. Prices are fair, pours are generous, and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly—they make you feel right at home. The atmosphere seals the deal. It’s a welcoming, dive-bar-meets-brewery setup with concrete floors, plenty of space, games in the back, and that perfect beachy, bohemian energy. Dog-friendly, kid-friendly at times, and packed with locals and visitors chilling together. We’ve spent hours here catching up with friends, playing pool, listening to live music or vinyl, and just soaking in the good vibes. It’s the kind of place where conversations flow as easily as the beer. Proudly woman-owned and operated now (shoutout to brewer Charli and the team!), Green Room feels authentic and community-driven. If you’re in the Jacksonville area, especially near the beach, do yourself a favor and stop by at 228 3rd St N. Bring your crew—you won’t want to leave! 🍺🏄♂️ Highly recommend—5 stars all the way!
Super chill local brewery a close walk from jax beach! Easy parking and very friendly atmosphere! It’s like walking into someone’s living room, and there are plenty of games to chose from. I like the wide selection of “signature” beers, as well as season rotating drafts, and they are all delicious! There’s something for everyone to try. My favorite part is you can get beers to go to take home, such a cool bonus!
A brewery that feels like a brewery. Good vibes good beer and a chill spot with lots of events for everyone to enjoy. Pass by and try one of their 25 beers on tap.
Ive personally visited 37 breweries in Florida and I definitely remember some over others. Microbreweries are popping up all over the place and in a place where competition was non existent, they're starting to see a little bit more competition. That being said, Green Room makes EXCELLENT brews! Great selection, great flavors, good atmosphere, and great location. If you like great West Coast style IPAs, this is your place...they dont go crazy with the hazys and they definitely use good quality ingredients. WHY do I not go the full five stars!? Picture this...Im standing about 4th in an OBVIOUS line that has formed at the bar to order beers and the bartender is completely oblivious. Shes refilling beers for walkups who snuck to the corner of the bar and skipped the line, shes even stopping to read stuff on phones of the people sitting at the bar...meanwhile, 5 of us are standing there with money in hand waiting to order and we are all feeling a little conspicuous just standing there. So, after making eye contact with the bartender I point to the whole line and ask her "where do you want us to stand to order?", my passive-aggressive way of showing her that people are waiting to hand her their money. She just kinda rolls her eyes and says "Here, I guess..." then starts taking our orders. I know I can't judge an entire establishment from one employee, so Im not gonna go straight to the "1 Star" rating from one single engagement but a tad more vigilance would get that 5th star for sure. Otherwise, Ill come back for sure.
This is a beer enthusiast paradise. Owner Mark, working with his brewer Charlie (Chuck), has created a basic, comfortable space to relax and enjoy a wide variety of beer styles and flavors. My bartender, Annie, was enthusiastic about the bruise and knowledgeable as well.
