What a wonderful spot to soak up some great rays on a Saturday afternoon.
Easy access to the beach. Very clean and parking was available. I can imagine in the peak of summer that might not be the case. The beach itself is excellent. The sand, water, cleanliness, and safety were all highlights. This is a beach a bit further from where we live (closer to Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine), but it's worth the drive.
So, even with a handicap placard, you can’t use the beach as a lifetime resident of Flagler and Saint johns county, Fl. near Matanzas Inlet. Whoever is denying the disabled access to There Beach needs to correct the problem quickly or we will assist them as we have brought this issue before the board for the last four years, and they still seem to have their head lodged in a place where it’s hard for them to breathe. Come on people get it together.
You walk up all those stairs and then the stairs dip down with the hills until you see a sign at the very end saying the beach access is closed due to storm damage. Would’ve been nice to have the sign in the beginning of the stairs so now it’s just a lookout place.
Great hidden beach access spot. Fantastic views. There is no playground, no bathroom, no picnic area, nor is it a dog park. Just a public beach access point.
