Green Cove Springs Electric

Atrocious customer service. Father passed away and we are sorting through the estate to get everything in order. Late payment notice was sent 3 days after due date and then power shut off 6 days after that. Thankfully we were able to get it fixed after finally figuring it out but what about those who are in financial difficulty due to the current economic state? Especially during the hot and cold times here it’s unconscionable that this company gives so little notice before removing power from peoples homes. Policy needs to change or leadership needs removal!

This city utility company needs to be shutdown. The city took the over charged profits to build its pools and other projects. Can’t keep the lights on and do upgrades, pawns the new homesites for a license fee. Time to vote for a dissolution of city charter. 7/9, 7/10, 7/11 and now 7/13 power outages. City thought it was Wall Street locked in bad contracts and now can’t even sell the useless power company yet the same people get voted back in. Really is time to dissolve the City of Green Cove Springs.

How is it that the City of Green Cove Springs is legally able to charge its residents more and more each reoccurring month in BPCA despite the price of natural gas going down? They shouldn't be allowed to force the communities to pay this excessively high rate. Absolutely ridiculous. If anyone is reading this and apart of the City Council for Green Cove, please fight for us. We all are paying mortgage payments on utilities and the city is using inflation to profit from hard working residents who rely on the grid for electricity. Hurry up with the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022!

They have insanely high rates and I have no idea why the city is even controlling the electric. We need Clay Electric to come to Green Cove. The workers there are rude as well . And they aren't even open on fridays. They run this place like its 50 years ago. The city of Green Cove needs to catch up to the times. They are extremely outdated and have to buy our electric. With the way Green Cove is growing they need to step aside with the utilities.
