One dental hygienist baths in cologne and smells like its coming out of his pores, another one uses the water so aggressively that you might as well be washing your face while getting your cleaning. Pretty sure ive had better cleaning form my electric tooth brush than both of them put together. Got charged for a "deep cleaning" which I've had 8 years ago so im familiar with it, which started off with 5 minutes of a regular cleaning, the tech going "one second" getting up and leaving, coming back with a clip board while im half wet from the irrigation and talking about needing a deep cleaning its 500$ sign here. Im happy im in a place in my life where I could afford it at the time but literally that was luck. No one can afford that sprung on them literally last second. I've had a deep cleaning before, I know they numb the area because they go deep into the gums and it can cause quite a bit of pain and discomfort. There was no numbing. There was no pain or discomfort either because it was not a deep cleaning. Here I am at another dentist confused how I got one a year ago because it shouldn't be that bad in a year. I knew they did a terrible job, thats why I haven't been back. Im not perfect with my teeth I know im not but I brush every day, I floss as much as I remember to do it, my teeth arent the worst. I can feel when they haven't been cleaned properly in a visit and my teeth never felt like they got the tarter off. The hygienists do not care about their jobs and it shows..which sucks because that who you count on for regular maintenance.
My last two visits were unorganized and left much to be desired. I came in for my routine cleaning and was informed while in office that the tech wasn't there that day to do necessary X-rays so I would need to come back and speak with the dentist then. They could have told me this prior to coming in so I didn't need to leave work early on two separate days and waste a trip. They proceeded to do the cleaning but it felt rushed and they did not thoroughly get all the tartar off. I can clean my teeth better at home. Also bad bedside manner as the hygienist sprayed water all over my face several times. Did not seem focused on the cleaning whatsoever and was constantly talking to his co-worker while working in my mouth. I left the office being told my teeth looked great and to keep up the work. Here I am 6 months later at a new dentist and there is large tartar buildup and some bone loss on my teeth and they're very surprised that I was not having issues 6 months ago. I can see the issues on the new X-rays and pictures taken. I do not recommend this office if you actually care about the health of your teeth and gums. They seem poorly ran, I barely ever saw the dentist, and seem to care more about money than patient care.
I would not go here if you have any fear of dentistry. I had my tooth fixed and they were not gentle or cautious. Much of the work was performed by the dental assistant and not the dentist, which i raised concerns. After i raised those concerns, my follow up visit did not go well. I had a crown put in and on the 1st visit a temp was put on the tooth. When i returned for the permanent, they removed the temp without any local anesthesia and i about saw stars. This was done by the dentist after i raised my hand and said i was in pain. I literally closed my eyes and held my head. Nobody said anything. Not “I’m sorry or let me get you ice (or whatever you give someone who just felt like their tooth was yanked out cold). I am now 3-4 days post install and my tooth hurts A LOT. I have never had a crown hurt this badly. I have never had a problem with dentistry but now understand why so many people do. I would not recommend coming here even in an emergency. The pain i am in I do not wish on anyone.
Great dentist and office help however takes months for them to get claims straight with your insurance. Their billing office that called me is in Michigan. Also careful on cleanings as they do extra things that insurance doesnt cover even if you say you only want the basics. Now they are trying to get 3 cleanings per year instead of 2. Most insurance only covers 2 per year.
I’ve been coming to this location for the past 5 years and it has always been a mess. The staff seem to not value your time/ care as they are inconsistent with the scheduling. There have been multiple times they have rescheduled me without prior notice/ calling me, where they have the audacity to tell me it’s changed once I arrive at the office. Truly disappointing with the lack of customer service.
