GMC Properties

When I moved in to an apartment run by GMC properties last September I was underwhelmed but satisfied with the modest apartment provided to me. The rent is affordable but because of that there are no real amenities to speak of. Around three months ago GMC Properties inexplicably got rid of the drop box for rent checks. This served as only a minor inconvenience as they had office hours on Saturday, during which I could stop in and drop off my rent. All of a sudden last month when I went to drop off my check I was informed that GMC properties, for some unknown reason, would no longer accept checks on Saturdays. I can still drop off my check during the week, but only during working hours since they don’t have a drop box anymore! It’s as though the GMC properties is intentionally making it inconvenient to pay rent, maybe so that they can rack up late fees, maybe just because they enjoy being a huge pain in the ass, I’m not really sure. I can’t wrap my head around what the difference is between dropping a check off on Friday vs. Saturday considering they have an employee in the office anyway, it’s absurd really. When I contacted the company about this it took them over a month to contact me and they only did so after I contacted them again threatening to post a complaint to the DBPR. Upon contacting me the woman to whom I spoke said a lot of words, none of which explained why they wouldn’t accept payment on Saturdays. It was as if she just kept trying to deflect the issue in hopes that I would forget. The closest thing to an explanation that I got from her was that they only have one person staffed on Saturday and she may get overwhelmed with check drop offs, a notion as ridiculous as it is irrelevant. Perhaps if the office worker can’t handle check drop offs they should staff more accordingly, or hire more competently. So if you are looking for underwhelming apartments where it is massively inconvenient to pay your rent by all means look for something run by GMC properties. If not I would suggest trying avoiding anything run by this company.

APPLICATION PROCESS IS A SCAM...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU'RE UNSURE IF YOUR CREDIT SCORE QUALIFIES...ASK FIRST SO YOU CAN KNOW IN ADVANCE... If you have an OK- low credit score this is NOT where you wanna apply... Everything was approved: •Made 3x the rent, •Good rental history •No criminal history.... but yet and still DENIED due to CREDIT??? But PINE BROOK APARTMENTS ( MANAGED BY GMC PROPERTIES) made SURE to rope me in to apply by stating "the worst that would happen when applying with bad credit would be a full months rent for a deposit"... don't get scammed!!!! THE APARTMENT OFFICE DOESN'T EVEN PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION. A SYSTEM DOES. THEN WHEN YOU CALL & INQUIRE ABOUT WHY YOU WERE DENIED THAT'S THE EXCUSE THEY GIVE YOU AND THAT THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT ... SMH YOU GUYS REALLY THINK PEOPLE HAVE 50's AND HUNDREDS TO WASTE WHEN THEY ARE IN SEARCH FOR A HOME HUH? SCAM SCAM SCAM

Stay away from this company their service is below average and will ruin your credit whenever you brake or end the lease with them.
