Very disappointed with my experience. Less than a week after getting my nails done, they started lifting, and my hair would get caught underneath them whenever I combed it. Shortly after, some of the nails came off completely. When I went back to the salon, they refused to fix the issue. I asked to speak with the manager and was told that the only way to contact them was by email. I sent two emails and never received any response. I have included a video with this review showing the condition of the nails after less than a week. The quality of the work was poor, but what was even more disappointing was the lack of customer service and accountability. I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience.
Really disappointed with my services today! I paid for a pedicure w/ Gel polish and an acrylic fill AND drove over an hour for this! Nails cut crooked. Paint is slopped on! What a waste! I understand they were busy but come on! I will let the picture speak for themselves!
Worst experience.. I came here yesterday had an appt first I waited 30 minutes even though I had an appointment at 11:15 AM. Ken did my pedicure and gel manicure, and did awful job, as u can see on my toes some parts of the nail isn’t painted and some of the paint is on my skin…and for the manicure that picture should explain all. And for the pedicure I didn’t even get the full “field trip experience”. We called and complained and I came in for a redo which is the white gel manicure photo, as you can see nothing changed for the better. I will not be coming back $94 down the drain.
I started going to Gloss The Nail Lounge at Durbin Park after hearing from my neighbor how incredible they were, and now my mother-in-law and grandmother all go there too. I personally see Linda, and she is honestly one of the best nail technicians I have ever had in all my years of getting my nails done. I had previously visited Gloss The Nail Lounge in St. John’s and had a different experience with uneven shaping on my dip nails, and at another nearby nail studio I felt overly charged and manipulated into paying extra for what I considered a very basic nail shape. Because of those experiences, I was very open and honest with the management and front desk at the Durbin Park location about my concerns. They truly listened, reassured me I would not deal with unnecessary upcharges there, and they absolutely stayed true to that. I have never once felt uncomfortable, pressured, or taken advantage of since coming here. The quality of work, honesty, and customer service have been incredible every single visit. The experience has been so great that I even brought my husband and five-year-old son in for pedicures. My son loved it so much he said he wanted to come back every single day, and my husband was genuinely impressed too. Not only is the service amazing for myself, but the atmosphere and experience have been wonderful for my entire family. Ava even brought her great-grandparents here because of how much we all loved it. I truly cannot recommend this place enough.
I absolutely love this salon! It doesn’t matter who you go to they are going to take care of you and make sure you’re happy with your nails! Thank you Kate, Heather, and Carol❤️
