Ghost tours Amelia Island

Unfortunately, our experience with Amelia Island Ghost Tours was extremely disappointing. I purchased our tour around 12:00 PM for an 8:00 PM tour that evening. We arrived at the location, but there was no tour guide present, and the meeting location was very difficult to find. We attempted to call for assistance, but there was no answer on the first call. When I called a second time, I was finally able to speak with a woman who was extremely rude and unprofessional over the phone. What made this experience even more disappointing is that this was supposed to be a birthday experience for my daughter while we were on vacation. We were really looking forward to making it a special part of her birthday. Instead of taking responsibility and trying to help resolve the situation, the woman repeatedly explained that the tour guide not showing up was "not her fault" and became increasingly nasty during the conversation. Regardless of whose fault it was, as a customer who paid for a scheduled tour, I expected the company to handle the situation professionally and make some effort to help. Things can happen, and tours can have unexpected issues. What matters is how a business handles those situations. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, the missing tour guide, difficulty reaching anyone, and especially the way we were treated on the phone made this a very frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company based on our experience. We paid for a birthday experience and instead spent the evening trying to figure out what happened and dealing with an unnecessarily unpleasant customer-service experience.
