Gentiva Hospice

I was first introduced to Gentiva Hospice when my sister, who is in a Memory Care facility, was having a difficult time , frustrated and beginning to become aggressive especially when it was time for taking her meds. When looking for a peaceful solution…. I mentioned taking the meds away and thus Gentiva ! Every person I have talked to , interacted with and have gotten to know are angels. Gentiva’s commitment to their patient is thorough, respectful & loving . Their focus was that my sister would be calm and peaceful , enjoying her days and that is exactly how it is. They look after her needs, visit her regularly…. She has a nurse, Patricia …. Who interacts with my sister with professionalism , kindness …. Always checking in with the facility staff and myself with her goal of maintaining peace & calm … for this I am so grateful. To see my sister relaxed and enjoying life at this stage is such a gift for me ! Pastor John visits regularly and I have had the pleasure of being there… his warmth, understanding and encouragement are much appreciated . As I continue this journey with my sister… I am blessed to have the best team with us….a team that genuinely cares for and respects my sister but always makes her day that much better !!! ❤️❤️❤️

We were truly blessed to have Pat Galo as Dad’s hospice nurse during his final year. She was warm and compassionate, but spoke frankly and honestly about the mental and physical changes he was going through, which helped us understand and prepare. Her presence made an incredibly difficult transition more bearable for Dad, me, and the rest of the family. Pat and the Hospice team provided not just skilled care, but genuine emotional support that made us feel cared for. I honestly can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.

Heartland hospice is a wonderful organization. I would recommend them to anyone who needs end of life care. My mother was under their care. Her nurse Maria, and helper Jennette, were outstanding. They both were kind and extremely caring. They took very good care of her. Maria was also very supportive of me and my family. They went above and beyond any of my expectations. I would recommend Heartland Hospice to anyone in that situation.

We are doing in home assisted family care. Our team is going above and beyond for our mother and the family. We absolutely love Ms. Anna, she is so good with mom, gentle, genuine and pure love. Ms pat our nurse, has a way of explaining the steps and expectations of the hospice care system and helps us to understand the importance of our team and how to help mom. The physical therapist is trying to pump more life but it's not our time and that's ok. The traveling pastor who came to our home and prayed with us. The nursing staff who drop everything and come over at any time for all our concerns. It's overwhelming going through end of life but these caregivers are giving us their all.
