The Best Part of Our Amelia Island Trip! We had the absolute best time on the Gail Force II with Captain Bill! From the moment we stepped aboard, he made us feel completely at home—friendly, professional, and clearly a true expert of the area. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in every part of the experience. Captain Bill knew all the best spots—hidden corners of Cumberland Island, scenic views of Fort Clinch, and even some secret dolphin hangouts! He shared so many cool stories and local history that kept even the adults engaged, and he was amazing with our kids—patient, kind, and made them feel like part of the crew. They’re still talking about it! The boat itself was spotless, super comfortable, and perfect for our family. We especially appreciated the shade and the onboard restroom—it made it easy to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery without any stress. Truly a top-tier, unforgettable experience. We’ll be booking again next time we’re in town. Thank you, Captain Bill!

AMAZING TOUR! Captain Bill was friendly, prepared, and had amazing stories to share! He was extra patient with a toddler on board too. Thanks to him we saw dolphins, manatees, wild horses, plenty of bird species, a little shark, and more! We will absolutely be going again!
This was the most amazing boat ride ever! I was was cold and windy, but completely worth it. Captain Bill took us through Cumberland Sound and up the St. Marys River. We saw dolphins, wild horses, wild pigs, white pelicans and other shore birds. The ride took us past Fort Clinch and we were fortunate to go into the back creek and see the ruins of Dungeoness…one of the old Carnegie mansions. One of our group has a bad knee and we were all able to board and maneuver just fine. The onboard toilet is a super plus!
We had a wonderful sunset cruise with Captain Glenn to Cumberland Island. It was absolutely beautiful and he shared some great information with us. We’ll be back!! Highly recommend
We had an absolute blast on our sunset cruise aboard the Gail Force II of Amelia on the evening of 7/16/25. Captain Bill was a fantastic host and guide – he is very nice and personable, and is a retired Delta pilot, so my boys loved that little tidbit. He was very knowledgeable about the history of this island and its surroundings. He showed us downtown Fernandina, Old Towne, Fort Clinch, and then we went across the Cumberland Sound to see Cumberland Island. We saw all kinds of wildlife including dolphins and wild horses – our boys were amazed! We made it back to Fernandina just in time for a beautiful sunset. Bill even let the boys steer the boat! 100/10 would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the island! ♥️ We have visited this area tons of times, and this experience was icing on the cake and something we never knew we were missing!
