Awesome place to take the family. Getting to know the better side of Duval county. Relaxing and enjoyment. Fountain is one of a kind(especially at night) with excellent views overseeing the River and downtown skyline. Live and open music that surrounds the whole area. Kids play area is great with a mock pirate ship with swings, slides, ropes, and open benches. Playground is fenced in with large accommodating doors.

Friendship Fountain is an iconic landmark in Jacksonville, located on the west end of Southbank Riverwalk in the downtown area. It opened in 1965 and at the time was considered one of the largest fountains in the world. The fountain features choreographed light, sound, and water shows in the evenings. Several community events are hosted in its grounds throughout the year. The fountain is surrounded by a park with benches, a children’s playground, and picnic areas. Excellent views of the downtown Jacksonville skyline across the St. John’s River are available from practically all viewing points in the park.
Very peaceful. Children's playground looked like a lot of fun if you have little one's and plenty of food options around. Parking is very tight and mostly for Mosh but near the boat ramp is plenty of parking- towards the back.
This place is an absolute vibe. It’s the perfect place for ANYTHING… date night, yoga, hangout, workout, photoshoots, read a book, enjoy music, meet new people, enjoy great food, picnic, great place to take your kids, you name it! And the view is breathtaking
Enjoyable fountain stop! It is quite large and beautiful. A nice place to stop and relax by. There is a great children’s park next to the fountain. The park has fun play structures and has a ship theme.
