Going to college so I was on a mission to get some new outfits. Katie Hall helped me get a fitting room and complimented the clothes I picked out even though I had said it was a different style of shorts I would usually go for. She immediately ran to get me tops that would compliment the shorts and make me love them more. I ended up purchasing every recommendation she hung outside the dressing room, she is absolutely amazing and knows exactly what she’s doing. The entire staff was super nice and enjoyable to talk with as well.

I went in the store today to find something for a baby shower. I cannot express how helpful the staff is there. There was one girl who helped me out (I believe her name was Katie but I am not %100. I think she was the manager/ shift lead) and she literally walked around and picked out multiple outfits for me to try on. As someone who is terrified of shopping and trying on new clothes, having someone ask me my sizes and preferences and then hand pick things for me to try was so so amazing. Also while I was trying things on, the girl who picked the outfits and the dressing room attendant continued to help me, giving ideas and grabbing different sizes. I rarely write reviews but these girls made me feel so comfortable and confident. I am going through some hard times right now and the girlhood and kindness that was shown to me today was something I didn’t know I needed. I will most definitely be coming back! ♥️
Today was my first visit to the Free People location at St. Johns, and unfortunately it was deeply disappointing. My daughter and I are new to the area, and I have been a loyal Free People customer for many years. When we walked in, an older female employee with gray and black hair and glasses looked directly at us and said nothing — then, not five seconds later, greeted a white customer who entered in a loud, welcoming voice. From that point on, we received nothing but stares. The environment felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. As we were leaving, a younger employee acknowledged us. When I expressed to my daughter that I felt we had been discriminated against, she replied, “I’ve been feeling it since we walked in here.” This experience is not a reflection of the Free People brand I have loved for years — it is a reflection of one person who chose to extend kindness selectively. In a customer-facing role, the answer should always be kindness and acknowledgment for everyone. I hope management takes this seriously. We may try again and hope that this employee is not there.
Very great Customer service! Great clothes and it made the shopping experience a 10/10!
I have a wonderful experience at this location (as always). I come and shop at this location every two weeks. I haven't had any issues or complaints. The staff are always very helpful and very friendly. I just wish Free People would open a branch in Saint Augustine. I live in Saint Augustine. It is a solid 45-minute from Saint Augustine to St. John's Town Center Jacksonville. Saint Augustine is a very touristy town, and it is growing. Free People, please open a branch in Saint Augustine. A lot of people in Saint Augustine will be very happy to have Free People store here.
