Fort Matanzas National Monument Inlet East Parking Lot

This is an easy access to the Mantanzas Beach. There is parking for about 50 cars here, however it does fill up quickly on the weekends and many weekdays. Some people will park along the grassy highway front, but I'm not sure this is legal and you make it a parking ticket. The Mantanzas fort rangers patrol this parking lot. The wooden walkway is well kept up and makes easy access to the beach. The beach and the ramp is flush with the sand so this may not be a bad place for someone who is handicapped or disabled. There are also plenty of disabled parking spaces available in the parking lot. The park is open from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 7 days a week.

As of May 6, 2026, no longer has Port-o-Potties. Nice beach, beautiful sand, no steps to climb. Very peaceful.

We drove here from Palm Coast. I prefer a nice deep beach with dark packed sand and not very rocky or shelly. This is perfect for that. The lot had portables but no shower. The walkway to the ocean was beautiful!

Great spot to park and look at the ocean and inlet in the same area. Also an amazing sunset. There’s a little Sandy area so people can get in the water. It’s a really nice spot you have to check it out! You can even see the fort nearby💛
