Forgotten Tonic

Wow! If you want great drinks, great food, great service and a staff that genuinely care- this is where you NEED to go. I can’t tell you enough on how great our time was here. The cocktails were on point. Our bartender, Brandon was amazing- he was great to talk to and made the BEST cocktails! He really made our night both nights and is an asset to have on the Forgotten Tonic team!! Natalie was great- she took he time and made sure we got exactly was we were looking for. Chef Izzy was nothing less than amazing. We kinda had a last minute order and she went above and beyond to make us feel like we were part of the family. I felt kinda bad that we had waited to put a to go order in for our son but she was more then accommodating which is refreshing, unfortunately this kind of caring service is very hard to come by these days. She made our son feel extra special, my son literally said this is for sure going to be a core memory. The FT burger was unbelievably good!! We went here 2 days in a row and I’m sure we’ll be back soon. Thank you for being one of a kind and everyone should pack this place daily!

It was suggested as a top rated place for dinner, and it totally justified it! It’s truly one of the best places to grab a bite in St. Augustine. They have a very vegetarian friendly menu and the prices are very reasonable for the quantity they serve. The service was top-notch and we left the place with happy faces.

This restaurant is great. We ate here one time when we were staying in the area, and it was the only place open late at night for food. That time we ordered To Go and brought it back to our room. It was tasty and we wanted to try it again. We visited again this month and ate there for lunch. Our server was really nice, the food was excellent, and the drinks were imaginative and delicious. I had a very tasty miso marinated cod sandwich and my wife had a coconut curry with shrimp. Outstanding. The inside decor is eclectic, and they have a few outdoor tables as well. We will definitely be back here again.

When you go to the restaurant on Tuesday and are back on Friday you KNOW it’s AMAZING!!!!! Forgotten Tonic never disappoints! The atmosphere, the service, the attention to detail, the layers of flavor, and the fresh home crafted options for both food and drink are worth savoring every second!!! Tuesday we had the Bruschetta, followed by the Coconut Curry. (No pix 😔). Both were AMAZING. I did write a review about what an amazing experience it was and received a reply (both public and private) from John. That level of attention to detail is not common and prompted us to want to return! As plans evolved we found ourself wanting to dine out again on Friday. Our destination was already decided! We made it a point to ask for John (who we now know is the owner). We were surprised to know he replies to all reviews and is clearly a very in touch, respected, motivating, and stand out person and employer. We enjoyed a variety of masterfully crafted cocktails, the Shrimp and Grits as well as the Pasta Alla Vodka. Needless to say, we WILL be back soon! Cannot recommend enough!
